Why is Brady Ebert leaving Turnstile? Guitarist parts ways with band after 12 years
The founder of the American hardcore punk band Turnstile, Brady Ebert, has left the group. Turnstile told their fans about the decision on Friday, August 12, in an Instagram story, where they wrote:
“Turnstile’s guitarist Brady Ebert is leaving the band. We’re very thankful for the time we’ve spent together. We still love him, and we hope for the best for him in the future.”
Ebert hasn’t said anything about his leaving the group. As of right now, there is no more information about this.
Before their US fall tour with Snail Mail and JPEGMAFIA, Turnstile made the announcement.
Some news sources said that Daniel Fang, the drummer for the band Turnstile, had filed a peace order against Ebert on August 4. Many people now think that Ebert’s leaving might have something to do with the order, since he left before the order was made.
The August 11 hearing for Fang’s peace order against Brady Ebert
People get peace orders when they are accused of hurting, following, harassing, or destroying the property of another person.
This month, there were two hearings about Fang’s peace order. If the order is given, Ebert won’t be able to talk to Fang, hurt him, or come near his home. But the order was taken back.
Lambgoat pointed to a final hearing that took place on August 11 in the District Court of Maryland, where it was said that there was no legal basis for relief. The ruling said that the order can’t be enforced because there isn’t enough evidence to do so. It also said that the order is outside of the law’s reach.
In 2010, Brady Ebert and Brendan Yates, who sang, started the band Turnstile. Then, bassist and singer Franz Lyons, drummer Daniel Fang, and guitarist Sean Cullen joined the band. Cullen left in 2015, and Pat McCrory took his place. Ebert helped make the band’s three studio albums, Nonstop Feeling (2016), Time and Space (2018), and Glow On (2017). (2021).
The band’s fifth EP, Turnstile Love Connection, came out in June 2021. Yates also made a short film with the same name and put it out.
Glow On, the most recent album by Turnstile, came out in August of 2021. Blood Orange, a British singer, songwriter, and producer, makes a guest appearance on Glow On. This is the band’s first release with a guest artist.
