That’s when she decided to call the police and report her behaviour. However, the police department refused to file a complaint, arguing that she did not have enough evidence against Bishop. Soon after, the accused Bishop and his entire family moved to Canada.

In the same interview, she talked about her efforts in filing a police complaint against the perpetrator, saying:

“Joining the police in 2005 was the hardest thing I ever did. I mean, I don’t want to see the police. The only reason I went to the police station was to protect the children.”

“There are people in my life who know I am being abused but do nothing to help me. I told myself I couldn’t be that person. I can’t leave these kids in this house and do nothing.”
