Who is Minhi Su England from Netflix’s Blown Away? Season 3 contestant lost her husband less than a year after getting married

On July 22, 2022, Season 3 of Blown Away will start with a new group of contestants. Minhi Su England is one of the ten people who will be competing against each other on the show. They will all try to be the best. The 32-year-old man who makes glass memorials has a secret skill: he can sing.

In Season 3 of Blown Away, Minhi Su England and her friend own a glass-blowing studio.

Minhi Su England lives in Seattle, Washington, and owns a glass-blowing studio with her friend Bri Chesler. The studio is called Liquid Lush Studio. The two friends blow glass into strange and beautiful shapes that they can sell as gifts.

Minhi married Jesse England, her boyfriend of ten years, in a pandemic wedding in September 2021. When it came to taking her husband’s family name, she didn’t want to take part in the tradition right away because she thought it might make her identity less clear. But in the end, she changed the name of her products to Minhi Su England.

She also put up a post on Instagram that went into great detail about her wedding day:

“For me, this change was a big step. It’s a way for me to put my ego and pride aside and recognize how much of an impact Jesse has had on my life, both creatively and as a friend. I don’t want to make this change because it’s not the norm. Instead, I want to understand how important he was and keep that in mind for the rest of my life.”

But Minhi’s life took an unexpected turn when, only nine months after getting married, she lost her husband to cancer.

The glass artist chose to hold Jesse’s memorial at Pilchuck Glass School, where she had met him in 2012. Minhi chose to sing Cosmic Dancer at Pilchuck with her brother-in-law Ken England because it reminded her of her husband. When Jesse met Minhi in her cabin at Pilchuck in 2012, he sang this song to her.

Minhi also thanked the school for letting her hold the funeral at a place that was important to both of them.

She is very involved in her professional community, and she often works with other glassblowers to make works of art.
