Who Is Elga Bartsch? Wiki, Bio & Personal Life
Elga Bartsch, Ph.D., Managing Director, is in charge of economic and market research at The Blackrock Investment Institute’s(BII). In addition to doing original market and economic research and publishing insights, BII connects BlackRock’s portfolio managers.
Dr. Bartsch earned a Master’s degree from Kiel University and a Ph.D. there after attending the University of Hannover and the London School of Economics to further her education.
She began her career as a research associate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, a significant German economic think tank, where she managed the Advanced Studies in International Economic Policy Research and worked in the president’s office.
Dr. Bartsch is a trustee of the IFO Institute for Economic Research and has more than 20 years of experience in macroeconomic research. He is also a member of the ECB Shadow Council.
She also participated in and oversaw the German Banking Association’s Economic and Monetary Policy Committee.
