Rouse encountered an accident on Sunday, 2nd October 2022, during Bennetts British Superbike Championship race. His bike reportedly crashed with another biker after which he was hospitalized.
He suffered a head injury in the incident and was immediately treated by the BSB medical team on the track only. The incident is being investigated by the police and the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board.

He participated in the Triumph Triple Challenge in which he secured the fourth position, and was also a part of the Haribo Starmix Triumph where he reached the sixth position in the year 2015.
