US chocolate giant Hershey's has unveiled a 'gold' bar made from caramel, peanuts and pretzels... and it sounds amazing
MOST Brits would plump for a slab of Cadbury over a Hershey's any day, but a delicious-sounding new bar could turn everything on its head.
The "Gold" bar is Hershey's first new bar since 1995, and it could be a game changer for those of us who aren't sure about the bizarre taste of American chocolate.

Joining the simple selection of milk, dark and white chocolate bars already on offer, Hershey's Gold doesn't sound like your typical chocolate offering.
That'll be because the distinctive-looking Gold bar isn't actually made using any chocolate at all.
Instead, the Caramac-style creation is all about the caramel, made from a load of the gooey stuff mixed together with crushed peanuts and pretzels.
The "caramelised crème" treat is described, by Hershey's admittedly, as tasting like "creamy, crunchy joy."

Meanwhile, taste testers have reportedly likened the bar to a cross between peanut-butter fudge and salted caramel.
What's more, the bar boasts a bold, distinctive design, made from irregular bricks of "gold" layered in a jig-saw pattern.
The treat will be available to buy from the first of December, with two sizes on offer.
People with self-restraint can opt for a regular 40g size, while those of us who can't get enough of the sweet stuff will be opting for the hefty 71g king-sized version.

The bar reportedly took a whole 18 months to develop, but Brits who aren't keen on American chocolate may find it was worth the wait.
American customers are also in for a treat, since this is the first golden creme confection to go on mass-market sale in the States.
The dairy-free creme itself is made mostly from sugar, and is also known as the white filling you get sandwiched between Oreos.
Hershey's said: "Consumers favour a complex combination of ingredients, which led to the unique variation of sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy."
