The Teeter Scene In Yellowstone That Shocked Jennifer Landon

Speaking to Vegas Film Critic on YouTube, Jennifer Landon said that one particular scene between Teeter and Colby (Denim Richards) in Season 3, Episode 8 ("I Killed A Man Today") impacted her immensely. In the episode, Teeter tries to convince Colby to go skinny-dipping with her in the river, a task in which she ultimately succeeds.

Unfortunately, shortly after disrobing, the two are cornered by sworn enemies of John Dutton (Kevin Costner). In response to encountering some of Dutton's most-trusted allies, Wade Morrow (Boots Southerland) and his men use their horses to repeatedly stomp and trample over both Teeter and Colby. With the pair grievously injured in the attack, Morrow opts to leave them for dead.

"I wasn't expecting that scene as an actor, so reading that was shocking, and shooting it was shocking too, but I loved it," Landon said, before noting that it simply wasn't possible to be any more vulnerable (or cold) than they were at that very moment. Landon also went on to talk about the headspace she was in when shooting the scene. Interestingly, it would seem that at least some of Teeter's confidence in herself comes directly from the star.

"It's interesting, I was talking about ... how oddly uninhibited I felt, I guess because there's no inhibition for Teeter," Landon said, referring to the moment when Teeter strips down before going into the river. "Teeter's like 'This is my birthday suit, it's as I was made.'"

Funnily enough, Landon also added that she thinks Teeter was after this particular moment for quite some time. "Basically, Episode 1 through 7 is just Teeter trying to take her clothes off, so in 8, when she got the go-ahead," Landon said, finishing her sentence with a snap of her fingers.
