The Showtime Series Was Canceled When The Desos & Mero Apparently Separated
Desos & Mero, the late-night talk show hosted by Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, has ended. The Showtime sitcom was canceled as the group apparently broke up to pursue their own projects. In essence, the show will not be renewed for a fifth season. The final episode of the series starring both, who have a combined net worth of $1.05 million according to NetWorthSpot, aired on June 23. A Showtime spokesperson confirmed the cancellation of Desos & Mero, said:
“Desus Nice and The Kid Mero will pursue different art projects in the future.” Desus & Mero, Showtime’s late-night talk show, will not be returning for a fifth season.”
During the outbreak, the pair presented the show at their home, and they just continued to record live in their studio. After the format changed, fans of the show began to believe it might be coming to an end. It used to air twice a week in previous seasons, but in the fourth season it was reduced to once a week.

Desos & Mero came to an end after its fourth season due to the hosts wanting to pursue different endeavors. The Showtime series’ “Fast Culture Analysts” laughed about the top news events of the week and also hosted notable guests on their show. Desus also announced the cancellation of the show on Twitter. Jamaican-American comic The Desus Nice (real name – Daniel Baker) and Dominican-American writer The Kid Mero (real name – Joel Martinez) launched the series in 2019 and will end with 170 volumes in four season.

Desus & Mero is their third series together, debuting on Viceland in 2016. Before that, the pair premiered a show on Complex TV in 2014. They even created their own podcast, Bodega. . Boys, in 2015 and has now produced over 250 episodes. They are even the authors of the best-selling book, God-Level Knowledge Darts: Life Lessons from the Bronx, to be published in 2020.
