The Naughty Nine streaming on Disney+
Directed by Alberto Belli, The Naughty Nine is a brand new family Christmas movie that was added to Disney+ on Thursday, November 23rd, just one day after it debuted on Disney Channel. The UK will also be able to stream it on Disney+ from Friday, December 1st 2023.
It tells the story of Andy, a fifth grader and troublemaker who finds himself landing on Santa’s naughty list as the holiday approaches. Convinced that he’s been treated unfairly by Father Christmas himself for putting him on the list, he gathers eight others on the naughty list to join him in breaking into Santa’s Village and having first pick of all of the presents.
With fun performances, laughs, and plenty of heart, The Naughty Nine helps reinforce the true meaning of Xmas with none other than Danny Glover as Santa. The 77-year-old American screen icon is best known as Roger Murtaugh from the beloved Lethal Weapon movie franchise but is also known for Predator 2: Jumanji: The Next Level, and 2012.
Earning a fresh score on the review site Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has been a hit so far with audiences, some of whom are even crying out for a sequel already.
“I need [a sequel] like now,” one fan began tweeting. “That was such a fun movie! I really enjoyed it! I definitely see myself rewatching during winter break as well.”

Similarly, one wrote, “It was an awesome movie, the way it ended has me wanting a sequel.” And again, another added “Let’s hope for The Naughty Nine sequel! That would be so cool! Imogen [Cohen] did a great job to she’s a really good actress!”

The Naughty Nine ending sets up sequel
For those wondering whether the movie sets up the potential for a sequel, it sure does.
At the end of the movie, the titular Naughty Nine returns home from the North Pole but next year when Andy is requested to visit the principal in his office he’s instead met by Santa.
After behaving well the whole year thanks to learning valuable lessons as part of the ‘Nine’, Santa tells Andy he desperately needs his help, setting up a sequel where the gang reunites to help Santa save Christmas.
That being said, Disney is yet to officially announce whether a sequel has been greenlit.
The Naughty Nine is streaming exclusively on Disney+.
