Suspect in CBD double shooting booked for murder of stunt driver, NOPD says

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 21-year-old suspected in a double shooting in New Orleans’ Central Business District has been booked again on charges related to a deadly triple shooting days before.

Bryceson Jones was originally arrested one day after police said he and two teens were responsible for shooting a man and woman at the busy intersection of Carondelet and Common streets on Wed., Jan. 17. Police said the three used a truck stolen from a Houston couple outside of Harrah’s casino Monday evening.

On Sunday, an 18-year-old stunt driver, Seth Chedville, was gunned down in a triple shooting at a gas station on Chef Mentuer Highway at Downman Road. Police say a gray SUV pulled up to the gas station around 4 p.m. on Jan. 14, rolled down the rear passenger window, and someone opened fire on the parking lot. Only Chedville died from his injuries.

On Fri., Jan. 26, Jones was rebooked on an additional count of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder in Chedville’s shooting death.
