Sophia John Obituary News: New York City, Student of Bentley University, Sophia John Dies Unexectedly

Sophia John Obituary, 19, of Ballston Spa, died peacefully at Albany Medical Center on Monday, December 18, 2023, after a brief battle with leukemia. Lisa Marie Lajeunesse John (Arthur Taylor) and Mark C. John gave birth to her on November 19, 2004 in Fort Worth, Texas. In 2022, she graduated from Shenendehowa High School. Sophia was a Bentley University sophomore studying corporate finance and accounting.

Sophia was an enthusiastic and involved member of Alpha Phi’s Zeta Rho Chapter, serving on their recruitment team. She enjoyed her studies as well as listening to numerous genres of music while driving with friends throughout the world. She has loved the Saratoga Race Course since she was a baby and enjoys dressing up for all of the races.Sophia loved the ocean, especially Grand Cayman, kayaking with her father on Lake George, and snuggling with her dogs, Dublin, Delilah, and Oscar. She, like her mother, enjoyed going out to dine and trying different things.

She went to Corpus Christi Church and obtained her sacraments there.Sophia is the much-loved daughter of Lisa Marie John (Arthur Taylor) and Mark C. John, as well as the much-loved sister of Isabella Catherine John and her twin, Ava Christine John.

Sophia’s siblings include Mary Ellen Gokey (Fred), Billy Lajeunesse (Cindy), Catherine Johnson, Laura Levensohn (Adam), Joanne Lajeunesse (Seth Madison), Michael John (Maria), David John (Meera), and Lisa Germano. Brady, another beloved cousin, as well as a number of other close and far-off friends, also survive Sophia. Brady was like a brother to her.
