Shooting near Garfield Elementary in Davenport
UPDATE: The Davenport Police released more details about the shooting that took place near Garfield Elementary on Wednesday afternoon just before 1pm.
The incident appears to have been a dispute between a man walking and individuals in a vehicle. The man, from Davenport, was shot in the leg and was treated at Genesis Hospital. His injury was non-life threatening.
The Davenport Police are still investigating the incident.

EARLIER STORY: Davenport Police responded to a report of a shooting near the grounds of Garfield Elementary in Davenport.
An 18-year-old was injured by the gunfire. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The playground was also hit by the gunfire.

Police are investigating the grounds and surrounding area near Garfield Elementary in Davenport. Investigators were placing markings near bullet casings. No word yet on any injuries.
