Shadow Man: Remastered Gets New Screenshots
We finally have a first look at the upcoming Shadow Man: Remastered. The comic-based action-adventure game, originally released in 1999 for N64, Windows, PS1 and Dreamcast, is being remastered by Nightdive Studios.
According to the press release, Shadow Man: Remastered is set to appear on “Windows PC via the Steam and GOG platforms, as well as to PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch consoles”.
This reworked version boasts a range of graphical and control-based enhancements including:
- 4K widescreen display
- Dynamic shadow mapping
- Dynamic per-pixel lighting
- Antialiasing, and other post-process effects
- Higher density of particle effects
- Refined art, audio, and assets
- Refined gameplay experience
- Reintroduction of missing content cut from the original game
- Xbox, PS4, Controller Pro support with dual analog stick control
- HDR Rendering
Shadow Man: Remastered utilizes Nightdive Studios’ KEX engine. Said engine is used in the company’s other remasters like System Shock: Enhanced Edition, Turok, and Strife: Veteran Edition. The original game was developed and published by Acclaim. Alan Lackey of Computer Games Strategy Plus described the game:
