Fischer broke the rotator cuff in his right shoulder on his first attempt to climb K2. He reached the top without a tank on his 2nd attempt. In 1994, Fischer reached the summit of Mount Everest. As part of the expedition, the team removed 5000 lbs of trash from the mountain’s surface. Fischer climbed the highest peaks of six continents in his lifetime.
