Scenic Montana wedding is ruined as bear viciously attacks a moose in the backdrop
A couple was shocked when they realized a bear was attacking a moose viciously in the background of their fairytale wedding.
Nature can be unpredictable and a couple found this a hard way. The soon-to-be-married pair had dreamt of having a wonderful ceremony surrounded by the riches of nature. With everything prepared, they were moments away from saying their vows when disaster struck.
Deadly bear attack gets captured on video
Wedding videographer Stanton Giles has done several shoots but was unprepared to see the wildlife in action. The couple had been exchanging their wedding vows while being surrounded by their friends and family members.
The intimate ceremony soon came to a halt when they heard strange screams coming from nearby. Upon closely inspecting the scene, Stanton pointed out that a grizzly bear was attacking a baby moose.
The video was quick to go viral on social media platforms with people expressing their shock over the scene.
People on social media could not believe their eyes when they saw the video with one writing: “If this was my wedding, I wouldn’t even be mad! That’s awesome! Not something you see everyday, memorable, and doesn’t stop me from marrying my best friend.”
Another added: “Knowing how massive moose are and the fact one grizzly can take one down is pretty insane!” “Gives new meaning to the term wedding crasher.,” one joked. “We want a private wedding surrounded by nature” be careful what you wish for,” said another.
“Two life-changing moments occurring simultaneously,” said one. “The most interesting thing that’s ever happened at a wedding,” read one more comment. “Life-ending story right there. Nature is brutal but that’s the way it goes,” said one more.
The videographer calls it a ‘crazy’ experience
The couple were not the only people who were left speechless by the incident as the videographer, Stanton, called the entire incident ‘crazy.’
In a video that was uploaded on YouTube, he said: “Since I became a videographer I’ve seen some pretty crazy things and been to some really cool places, but none of that is as crazy as when I saw a grizzly bear kill a moose during a wedding.”
He continued: “The grizzly bear chased the moose off the mountain and down onto the shore of the lake while the groom was reading his vows and why didn’t I capture it on camera, you ask? Because I’m a good wedding videographer, and I was filming the groom. Torn between being a National Geographic filmmaker and a wedding videographer, I held my camera on the groom until he finished his vows.”
Despite Stanton only filming part of what happened in the wildlife, his short clip was quick to grab the attention of many.
