Ray Romano Is a Loving Father to His Four Children on ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’

Ray Romano, best known for his role as Ray Barone on the CBS comedy Everyone Loves Raymond, is a devoted husband to his wife, Anna Romano.

The actor is a devoted father to his four children, whom he shares with his wife. Alexandra “Ally” Romano, twin sons Gregory and Matthew Romano, and son Joseph Raymond Romano are his children.

Unlike his on-screen character on the CBS sitcom, the 64-year-old actor once said he’s always found a way to bond with his children.

“Ray Barone’s children rarely appear on television. In fact, I care more about my children.”

Ray said this in an interview with Parent magazine in October 2005.

During that same conversation, the Emmy-winning actor opened up about his marriage to Anna and their four children. He revealed that his family supports and loves his work, especially his children, who were surprised to hear his voice in Ice Age.

Ray used to compose real-life stories from his family for his movies and TV series back in the day. Not only that, his juniors also participated in some of his projects with supporting roles. Even now, he and his family live happily under the same roof; However, the family mostly lives outside of the limelight.

Ray is said to have lived through the tumultuous times of the pandemic with his wife and now grown children. In an interview with People in 2020, the actor revealed that staying at home with his family during the epidemic season has both advantages and disadvantages.

However, he is not afraid to spend time with his children and love his wife at his home.

“We have a 22-year-old player who is already here. We also have twins who live in a separate apartment a few miles away. So they came back. My daughter also has a home in Venice, California. And she will stay here for a week before returning home.”

Ray explained at the time. He continued to say,

“It’s actually quite interesting. They are adults, after all. I cannot express how much I sympathize with those who are isolating young children.”

Ray and Anna’s children have made a name for themselves in many different industries. Alexandra, the couple’s eldest child, seems to have followed in her father’s footsteps and became an actress. She gained recognition for her role in Ice Age: Continental Drift, which was released in 2012.

Since May 2017, she works as a marketing and communications director at Shondaland in Hollywood. Gregory and Matthew, his twins, are also active in the entertainment world. According to Closer Weekly, Gregory worked as an assistant producer on The Late Show With James Corden. Similarly, Matthew worked as a production assistant on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The youngest son Joseph is not famous yet, but he made his first voice acting role in the 2009 film Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
