Pokémon Legends: Arceus – How to Change Forms for Dialga & Palkia
During a single playthrough of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Trainers will be able to obtain both Legendary Pokémon, Dialga and Palkia, yet what fans might not know is that they can also acquire the ability to change their forms as well. To unlock the Origin Forms for Dialga and Palkia in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Trainers must first complete the main storyline to receive two new quests: Requests 89 and 90.
Request 89, “The Diamond Clan’s Treasure,” requires players to battle against Adaman of the Diamond Clan. Similarly, Request 90, “The Pearl Clan’s Treasure,” tasks Trainers with defeating Irida of the Pearl Clan in a Pokémon match. It is recommended Arceus players have a Star Rank of 8 before undertaking these Requests.
Unlock Dialga’s Origin Form in Arceus
To start “The Diamond Clan’s Treasure,” players must speak to Adaman, who can be found beside Lake Valor in Arceus’ Crimson Mirelands. He will challenge the Trainer to a battle, simultaneously dispatching a party of three Eevee evolutions: Vaporeon, Leafeon, and Umbreon.
During the fight, players should focus on taking out the Level 32 Vaporeon and Umbreon first since they are weaker than the Level 64 Leafeon. A few effective matchups for this duel would be Hisuian Decidueye, Lucario, or Togekiss. Once Adaman is defeated, he will reward players with the Adamant Crystal, an item with infinite reusability for switching Dialga’s forms.
Unlock Palkia’s Origin Form in Arceus
Next, Trainers can find Irida at the Pearl Settlement in Alabaster Icelands to receive “The Pearl Clan’s Treasure” Request. Like Adaman, Irida also possesses a party of three Eevee evolutions: Flareon, Glaceon, and Espeon. Strong picks against these three enemies would be Hisuian Arcanine, Hisuian Samurott, or even Dialga in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Players can employ an identical strategy to Request 89’s fight to defeat her. By finishing off the Level 32 Flareon and Espeon first, players can focus on the stronger Level 64 Glaceon. Upon defeat, Irida will grant Trainers the Lustrous Globe, which can transform Palkia into its Origin Form at any time.
