Obituary news Jon Behnken passed away on Sunday
Jon Behnken, a beloved resident of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the age of 55.
Born and raised in Austin, Minnesota, Jon graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1986. He then attended Winona State University and graduated with a degree in Finance. Jon continued his education to become a certified professional Management Accountant and a licensed Insurance Operations Professional.
On October 5, 2000, Jon married his wife Shannon. Together they built a beautiful house in Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Jon loved his family and friends very much. He often spends time with his wife Shannon, family, and close group of friends. Jon loves his cats like his own children and enjoys bringing in the many wild animals that come to his backyard. He is also passionate about road trips on a Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife or friends in the warm summer. At the same time, Jon is a passionate fan of the Minnesota Vikings football team.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie and will continue from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Jon leaves behind his wife Shannon, his parents, two brothers, a sister, grandchildren, relatives and many friends. At the same time, he left behind a legacy of a wonderful husband, son and friend.

The Blooming Prairie, Minnesota community is mourning the sudden passing of Jon Behnken, a beloved and actively involved resident of the town. Jon left many beautiful memories in the hearts of friends and acquaintances.
An active member of the community, Jon regularly participates in town activities and events. He is always ready to help people around him with a generous and enthusiastic spirit. Jon is also active in local motorcycle clubs and groups.
Many close friends consider Jon their older brother. They always appreciated the sincere friendship and unconditional support that Jon gave them. This great loss leaves a deep pain in the community.
Jon’s funeral was held on November 28, to commemorate and pay tribute to his contributions. Jon will forever be remembered as a wonderful son, husband, father and friend to the Blooming Prairie community.
