Communities in Austin, Texas and Cheshire, Connecticut are in deep mourning at the untimely loss of a cherished stand-up comic. Following a protracted struggle with depression, Austin, Texas resident Nick Roche died in what appears to be a suicide.

Nick Roche attended Cheshire High School and the University of Connecticut. He was originally from Austin, Texas, but he now resided in Cheshire, Connecticut.

Nick Roche was pronounced dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The tragic incident left the entire stand up comedy community devastated.

Nick Roche was hailed as an extremely gifted and generous comic from Austin. Nick Roche shared the stage with David Lucas and other comedians. A worried member of the community wrote, “Just let that NOT be the reason you terminate it; the world needs more hilarious people that frequently put other’s happiness above their own.
