Southern Charm season 9 is just around the corner, but Naomie Olindo won’t be returning with her fellow Charmers for another season of drama. Naomie, who originally met her ex-boyfriend and Southern Charm castmate Craig Conover at the College of Charleston in 2009, joined the show soon after the pair started dating in 2015. Starting out on the series as a friend during Southern Charm season 3, Naomie was known for her no-nonsense attitude. She and Craig were together for several years, their relationship serious enough that the pair moved in together within a few months of their first date, but ultimately split in late 2017.
Even after her split with Craig, Naomie was close with her fellowcastmates Cameran Wimberly and Chelsea Meissner, who left the series after Southern Charm season 6 and have no plans of returning to the series. Naomie took a season off, but returned to the show, as she was an integral part of the cast. During Southern Charm season 8, it became clear that Naomie’s relationships with the cast were somewhat different than they had been while she was with Craig. As both Naomie and Craig ventured into new romantic relationships, things changed for Naomie ahead of Southern Charm season 9.

Naomie has been dealing with some prolonged legal issues after being sued for breach of contract, fraud, and defamation by a former business partner. Naomie, who founded the clothing brand L’Abeye with Virginia “Ginny” Cox in 2018, was sued for several issues in the business, including her former business partner claiming that she didn’t put an equal amount of effort into the brand after choosing to do more work on Southern Charm. Naomie’s difficult legal situation is likely not something she’d be willing to make comments about on Southern Charm, which may have pushed her to choose not to return.
She’s Not Very Close To The Southern Charm Cast
While Naomie used to have several allies on the cast, including her ex Craig, Cameran, and Chelsea, the relationships she fostered on the show have either crumbled or are no longer relevant. Naomie and Craig have both moved on and while there doesn’t seem to be bad blood between the exes, their lives have surpassed a need for each other naturally. Naomie’s friendships, alternately, have moved on from the show entirely. While she was one of the original stars of the series, Cameran chose to leave Southern Charm along with Chelsea and has not turned back. For Naomie, the relationships she felt comfortable with on the series don’t necessarily exist anymore.
While Southern Charm season 9 is certain to be an exciting one, the series won’t be welcoming back one of its former stars. From Naomie’s personal and legal issues to her lack of relationships throughout the cast, Southern Charm wouldn’t be a welcoming platform for the former star at this point. Though Naomie has been happily moving past her time on the series, Southern Charm will always offer her a way back if she wants to return.
