Morten sang with the Souldier Blue in Oslo before joining A-ha in 1982. Since their breakthrough single “Take On Me” in 1985, A-ha has released 10 studio albums and dominated international charts. Morten also has six solo albums to his credit.

Morten was scheduled to appear in Oslo Spektrum with his band A-ha in the second half of May 2022. The audience was overjoyed, and the show was practically sold out. However, at the last minute, the show was canceled and postponed.

The event has been rescheduled due to Morten Harket’s illness, according to a notification on the Oslo Spektrum website.

Some of Morten’s admirers are visibly distressed and apprehensive, having waited two years due to COVID-19 restrictions to see him play. Morten Harket was later diagnosed with acute laryngitis, it was later revealed. It is a short-term disorder caused by inflammation of the larynx that most likely affects the vocal cord.

They did, however, run the first-day program with a minor hiccup, and Morten’s weak voice can be clearly heard. The vocalist was experiencing some difficulties. The following day, however, the band issued a statement confirming that the second A-ha gig in Oslo had been rescheduled.

Morten took to Instagram to apologize and convey his heartfelt apologies to his supporters. He claims that owing to vocal cord irritation, he may be unable to perform and must rest his voice. While some fans were understandably unhappy, the majority of them wished him a speedy recovery.

As one fan put it, “How can anyone be upset with you? You’re so sweet to apologize for something that wasn’t even your fault. Get better soon “.

What Became to Morten Harket’s Health?

Morten Harket, the 62-year-old Norwegian vocalist, is suffering from acute laryngitis.

Acute laryngitis is a common illness among performers because overuse of the vocal cord causes problems later in life when they get older. Morten is now 62 years old, and as a result, the signs of aging will appear one by one.

Following his diagnosis, the band was forced to postpone or perhaps cancel the majority of its remaining gigs. A-ha were forced to cancel their UK gigs at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London on May 27th and the Birmingham Utilita Arena on May 28th.

“The band is devastated that we have had to cancel our shows in the UK – our second home – this week due to ongoing illness,” the band said on their official website.

Morten Harket’s Parents And Ethnicity: Who Are They?

Reidar Harket and Henny Harket gave birth to the singer on September 14, 1959, in Kongsberg, Norway.

Reidar, his father, was the senior physician at a small hospital in his town, and Henny, his mother, was an economics teacher. Furthermore, Morten was of Norwegian descent. He was, however, raised in Asker, Norway’s southernmost city, in a family of seven.

Morten Harket has four brothers: Hkon, Gunvald, Ingunn, and Kjetil Harket. He hasn’t shared anything else about his siblings outside their identities. As a result, their current location and occupation remain unknown.
