Minnesotan Michael Swanson was found guilty of killing a woman in Iowa. On November 15, 2010, he was accused of killing two convenience store employees who worked at different locations in northern Iowa.
Vicky Bowman-Hall, 47, and Sheila Meyers, 61, who were killed horribly hours apart, were both killed by the felon. Both fatalities were innocent gas station employees who passed away unexpectedly.
Swanson murdered women in 2010, and the following year, in 2011, he was found guilty of murder. He was charged as an adult with two charges of first-degree murder and robbery in connection with killings that occurred in Kossuth and Humboldt counties.

Michael Swanson, a resident of Minnesota, is being detained at the Iowa Medical Classification Center Correctional Facility in Coralville. The murder defendant, who is in his late 20s, is housed in a medium security facility.
Swanson was given two life sentences in 2011 after entering a guilty plea to the charges levied against him in connection with the deaths of Sheila Meyers and Vicky Bowman-Hall. A verdict also mandated that the convicted defendants pay the families of the victims $150,000 each in reparation.
At addition, he was accused of attempting to kill a fellow prisoner in Coralville in 2015. On November 13, 2014, Swanson is accused of slitting the neck of another prisoner, who required 15 stitches.

Swanson, who was now in his late 20s, used a.40 calibre Beretta handgun that was loaded with hollow point bullets to shoot Meyers in the face. $31 and some cigarettes were all he took out of the store. When he stopped at a McDonald’s for food, authorities apprehended him.
For the death of Bowman-Hall, a second victim, he admitted guilt to first-degree murder and first-degree robbery and was given a second life sentence. Swanson testified in court that he entered the convenience shop in Crossroads that evening armed and shot the employee with the intention of killing her.

Kathleen Swanson, the mother of Michael Swanson, testified that she observed a number of troubling trends in her son as he grew older. He admitted to his mother that he frequently considers harming other people. She even brought her son with her to the doctor.
As if that weren’t enough, Swanson’s psychiatrist began treating him when he was 11 and thought Swanson was a lost cause who should be locked away. The treatments were unable to stop his troubling ideas of hurting other people.
Even more unsettling is the fact that Swanson smiled genuinely during the majority of the sentencing portions of his 2022 hearings. However, the adolescent admitted guilt for the robbery-turned-murder.
