Mia Morris- One Of The Contestant Of “America Got Talent”

In episode 5, the audience of America’s Got Talent (AGT) witnessed the talented musician Mia Morris compete in the audition round. The Nashville-based musician is a multi-instrumentalist who can play drums as well as guitar. Her live performance captivated both the judges and the live audience.

On this week’s reality show, the male singer was one of many AGT candidates to audition. She also composes her own songs, sings, records, plays a variety of instruments, mixes and completes everything herself. There is no question about her incredible skills. The 17-year-old performer delighted judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum.

Mia Morris’s parents are from Indianapolis. Although the AGT contestant did not come from a musical family, her parents soon recognized her talent. She started drumming at the age of 10 and studied with Indianapolis percussionist Wade Parrish. Her parents urged her to come to Nashville after discovering her potential. In an interview with Main Street Nashville, the singer claimed that it was her father who initially recognized her interest in drumming and bought her a drum set. She believes that rock music is one of her favorite genres, especially because playing rock tunes on the drums is so much fun.

The musician is a multi-instrumentalist who composes music from scratch. The AGT candidate writes, sings, plays instruments, handles mixes, records and produces all of her own songs. In addition to drums, she is also an excellent guitarist. Mia has toured with Big Machine’s Calista Clark and appeared on Ryan and Kelly’s live talk show. She also appeared alongside American rock and country singer-songwriter Kalie Shorr at The Grand Ole Opry, country music’s greatest stage. She also composed and duets with young singer Bailey James.

The AGT contestant doesn’t sing for a record label or producer because she doesn’t want to lose her creativity as an independent artist. Mia has a small workshop in the basement where she works her magic. She says she has a strong network of friends that support her with her creative ideas.

Mia said in an interview with blogger Bethany Bowman that she was mentored by musician Stephen Curry, who introduced her to talented composers. Every week, she would practice composing three to four songs for them. She says how her rage manifests in her songs, saying:

“We came to the conclusion that composing music is a means for me to release all my inner rage so that I can always be a happy person because all my anger is channeled. into my music.”
