Medica costs going up for Genesis patients

Individuals and families in Muscatine and Scott Counties insured by Medica in 2018 can still use Genesis Health System, but the cost to do so is going up.

In the Silver and Gold Copay Plans, individuals will pay twice as much for office visit co-pays, unless they opt for a high deductible plan that is connected with an HSA.

The deductibles and co-pays are also twice as much.

Patients using other hospital systems that are considered Tier 1 will pay half the cost on co-pays for primary and urgent care visits.

Genesis is considered a Tier 2 standard health system.
