While he walked with a cane, the star was more than happy to stop and chat with fans before greeting the actors and singers who perform his hits night after night.

The outing is one of the rare times Meat Loaf has been seen in public following a battle with his health in 2016.

The rocker was plagued with health issues and rumours that he was dying ever since he collapsed onstage in June of that year.

But speaking in December 2016, the I Would Do Anything For Love star insisted he wasn't at death's door, and had simply had surgery a few months previously to remove a cyst on his back.

Meat Loaf reassures This Morning viewers amid concern over stuttered speech

Speaking to The Mirror, he said at the time: "Listen, I am not dying. After three months of therapy I will be fine.

"I am sick of talking about it. I don’t want to talk about it from now on, and anyone else who asks me the question, I’m not going to respond to it.

“I had MRIs and the doctors said I had a little cyst but that it had grown and was pushing against the nerves.

“But when the doctor opened up my back to remove it… it was almost like emergency surgery.

"There are now little nuts and bolts in there.”

The star shocked fans when he fell on stage in Canada earlier in the summer of 2016, due to severe dehydration.

That November he appeared on This Morning and insisted his back surgery wasn’t connected to his stage fall in any way, and admitted it was his wife who persuaded him to perform, despite him suffering with flu at the time.

“All of a sudden I started feeling dizzy,” he said of the concert. “I thought ‘I don’t want to fall, so I’m just going to sit down’.

"As I was going down, I just went out. It was from dehydration.”
