JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) sebelumnya telah memperkenalkan kembali Mazda MX-5 di ajang Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2022 lalu.
Kini pada ajang Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (JAW) 2023, PT EMI menghadirkan versi transmisi manual dari roadster ikonik Mazda tersebut.
Tidak hanya dibekali pilihan transmisi baru, Mazda MX-5 manual juga mendapat interior anyar dengan balutan warna terracotta nappa leather seats.
Managing Director PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia Ricky Thio mengatakan, pihaknya optimistis Mazda MX-5 akan mendapat sambutan baik dari konsumen di Tanah Air.
“Saya punya keyakinan orang akan suka mobil ini, karena mobil ini bukan untuk dipakai sehari-hari, tapi lebih ke hobi,” ucap Ricky Thio, saat ditemui Kompas.com, di Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Kamis (17/3/2023).
Bahkan menurut penurutan Ricky, setelah diperkenalkan, sudah banyak konsumen yang inden Mazda MX-5 transmisi manual.

“Sudah banyak yang inden (Mazda MX-5 manual). Kurang lebih waktu tunggunya sekitar 4 bulan,” kata Ricky.
Sebagai informasi, Mazda MX-5 dibekali mesin Skyactiv-G 2.000 cc yang mampu menghasilkan tenaga 182 hp dengan torsi 250 Nm pada 4.000 rpm. Tenaga tersebut disalurkan melalui transmisi manual enam percepatan.
Mobil ini mengusung atap model Retractable Fastback (RF) yang dapat dilipat secara elektrik, bahkan ketika sedang berkendara dengan kecepatan dibawah 10 km per jam.
Dilengkapi dengan Kinematic Posture Control yang merupakan evolusi dari teknologi G-Vectoring Control Mazda. Teknologi ini dapat memberikan pengalaman berkendara yang lebih stabil di jalanan yang berliku.
Mazda MX-5 juga sudah dibekali fitur keselamatan i-Activsense seperti Adaptive LED Headlamp (ALH), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), dan Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Bicara soal harga, MX-5 transmisi manual dibanderol Rp 839,9 juta, sementara untuk transmisi otomatis Rp 849,9 juta.
