ABOUT US
We provide a high-quality educational experience in a welcoming, supportive environment. Small group sizes ensure individual attention and age-appropriate instruction. Our goal is to nurture each child’s lasting curiosity and inspire them to better understand, enjoy, and appreciate the natural world and their place in it. We create opportunities for personal growth and social development as campers interact with nature and one another.
With 225 acres of forest, field, and marsh, North River Wildlife Sanctuary provides a magnificent natural space for campers to explore, engage with others, and participate in hands-on, inquiry-based activities. Our carefully-selected counselors share enthusiasm for outdoor exploration, actively engaging with campers through education and play.

VACATION WEEK PROGRAMS – FEBRUARY, APRIL, AND DECEMBER
Get the kids outside over school vacation! Register for one, two, three, or all four days – themes and activities vary throughout the week. This February we’ll be investigating how wildlife adapts to winter weather, searching for aquatic critters at Webster Pond, and – of course – bundling up for our 7th Annual Winter Beach Party! LICENSING, ACCREDITATION, AND AWARDS
North River Nature Camp has been connecting children with nature for more than 20 years, and we pride ourselves in running a safe, organized educational program where each child matters. We are licensed by the Marshfield Board of Health and comply with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. We have also been selected as a parent favorite in several local “Best of” contests, including Macaroni Kid’s Gold Daisy Awards!
Additionally, we are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Developed exclusively for the camp industry, this voluntary, nationally-recognized program requires that we meet up to 300 standards linked to program quality, health and safety, management, and camp operations.
