Maria Libri Got Engagement To Her Boyfriend Chris Kattan

Maria Libri, 31, is a well-known journalist, author, model and actress who just got engaged to Chris Kattan. The couple is set to exchange vows shortly. On March 27, Kattan announced the proposal on Instagram. She posted some photos and claimed that the proposal took place during a Wilco performance in Chicago. Kattan added that Maria’s favorite song, I’m the Man Who Loves You, was played after the proposal, despite the performance being interrupted by lead vocalist Jeff Tweedy. He went on to say:

“Thank you Wilco and Jeff, and everyone else who helped make this amazing moment a reality.” I will be eternally grateful. Maria, I adore you.”

In an interview with PEOPLE, Kattan said the reason their relationship worked was because of their differences. Kattan noted that he and Libri accept each other for who they are:

“I knew I was in trouble when I got to see her and spend time with her a few months after we met and realized that our creative brains were also totally in sync (after the first sketch we did together).” Fortunately for me, she felt the same way.”

Maria Libri previously worked as a Fox News correspondent and anchor for various television stations in the Midwest. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Springfield, where she majored in Psychology although she initially majored in Communications. She attended the same institution to earn her Master’s in Human Services, but after the birth of her second child, she decided to drop out. She has also served as a spokesperson and model for many companies. She currently lives in Springfield, Illinois. She has more than 2,000 followers on Instagram and her profile defines her as a screenwriter and mother of three children.

Chris Kattan and Maria Libri’s relationship

Chris Kattan and Maria Libri initially met on a comedy tour in 2021, when the latter sought to interview Chris. Libri told PEOPLE about their initial meeting:

“From the moment we met, we felt comfortable with each other. Call it strange, mysterious, or magical, but it’s like we met in a previous life. “After spending that first day together, I knew (although I didn’t know how) that my life would never be the same after meeting Chris.”

Kattan and Maria Libri went public with their romance in February 2022 when Kattan posted a photo of himself and Maria smiling for the camera. Libri told the Springfield Journal-Register that she and Kattan are now romantically involved and that Chris will see her often.
