Lawanika Unger Obituary: In loving memory of Memphis woman killed in Tuesday night shooting on Naragansett Cove.

In a shooting that happened Tuesday night in a Southeast Memphis neighbourhood, three women were shot, one of them died.

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) reports that when police arrived to the scene of a shooting on Naragansett Cove, just east of South Germantown Road, at about 9:45 p.m., they discovered three women had been shot.

According to authorities, all three were transported in critical condition to Regional One Health. When one woman arrived at the hospital, she was already dead.

According to police, a suspect in the shooting fled the scene. Other information was withheld.
