How Did Daniel Sorensen Die?
The month of September 1981 found Daniel Gene-Vincent Sorensen being brought into the world in Provo, Utah. However, at the time of the incident, he was residing in the state of Michigan. The man, who was 26 years old, was a big guy who hailed from a wealthy neighborhood. On the other hand, he had a hard time finding work. Despite this, Daniel appeared to have a few close friends and worked hard to make the most of the opportunities presented to him. A crew from a utility company discovered a body in a Northville Township cul-de-sac on the morning of November 8, 2007, and it was wrapped in a blue tarp. Isam later testified that JP called him on the evening of November 7 and asked him to come over to his grandfather’s residence. JP’s request was made during Isam’s testimony. Isam was informed at that location that Daniel’s body was covered in a tarp, and that a container held his severed head. According to the show, Isam was shaken by the sight of the dead body and assisted in loading it onto a pickup truck.
Alex and JP then went to the cul-de-sac where the former set the body on fire. The head was thrown in the river the following day, which was the day after. The show claims that Alex was the one who brought the cops to that spot. Witnesses later alleged that JP had talked about killing someone in the past. Another young person who knew JP testified that JP had previously shown an interest in stabbing Daniel and then beheading him. Why They Killed Daniel Sorensen?
The shocking details of the crime shocked everyone who witnessed it. Early accounts suggest that Daniel had a difficult time finding work as a result of the conviction he received for having sexual relations with a minor younger than himself when he was only 17 years old. Then, JP burned off Daniel’s hands and feet with a blowtorch to remove the fingerprints. Isam said at a later deposition that on the evening of November 7, JP had called him and asked him to go to his grandfather’s house. JP had made this request. Isam was given the information that Daniel was present, that his head was placed in a container, and that he was wrapped with a tarp. According to the drama, Isam assisted in loading the body onto the pickup truck out of fear.
JP and Alex then walked to the cul-de-sac where Alex had burned the body after they had finished their conversation. They threw the head into the river the next day after they had finished with it. The show asserts that Alex led the police to the location in question. Later on, witnesses claimed that JP had discussed the possibility of killing someone in the past. Another adolescent who knew JP and testified against him stated that JP had previously shown an interest in stabbing and beheading Daniel. Where Are Alex Letkemann and JP Orlewicz Today?
Alex Letkemann, who was only 18 years old when the crime was committed, entered a guilty plea to second-degree murder in April 2008 and agreed to testify against JP. During the same month that JP was on trial for murder, he took the witness stand and admitted to killing Daniel. Nevertheless, he claimed that he was acting in self-defense when he did it. JP Orlewicz also claimed that he tried to destroy the fingerprints because he was afraid that Daniel’s mobster family would go after him. JP was finally ruled to have committed criminal murder, first-degree murder, and mutilation. He was 18 years old when he received a life without parole sentence in May 2008. What Happened to Alex Letkemann and JP Orlewicz?
