However, he has a history of health issues. On 19 October 2014, he suffered a seizure that had him out of hunting for a whole month.
It happened when Jep was out deer hunting in a secluded corner of the woods. Though his brother, Willie Robertson, came to his aid as he was close, the ambulance took almost two hours.
Today, the 43-year-old doesn’t seem to have any ailment. Jep’s social media also doesn’t hint at any. Moreover, he will appear along with his brother, Jase, in Duck Family Treasure for Fox Nation this June.
The 10-part documentary will feature the siblings, uncle Si and historian Murry Crowe, seeking for buried treasure. Moreover, the other members of the Robertson family, including Jase and Jep’s wives, will also feature.
The Health Scare Had Jep Robertson’s Wife Worried
Jep Robertson’s seizure event had his wife, Jessica Robertson, anxious.
Doctors had him on a ventilator while constantly monitoring him in the ICU. The Duck Dynasty actor took sedative medicines for four days straight.
Reportedly, the father of four was unable to recognise his family members until the health officials drugged him totally. He didn’t have any remembrance of the period he spent in hospital.
Jessica remarked that the setting was scary and only breathed relief once he grasped her hand, creating an emotional mood.
As for the reason, test results revealed meningitis and encephalitis. After suffering from a seizure, Jep warned that a mosquito might do a lot of damage in an interview with Fox News.
Similarly, his overall reaction to the experience was, “I believed I was a goner.”
Jep Robertson Couldn’t Recognize His Family
While he was on sedative medicines for four days from Sunday, he couldn’t differentiate his own family.
The members include his wife, Jessica, parents Phil and Kay Robertson, siblings Jase, Alan, and Willie, and children, Jules Augustus, Lily, Priscilla, River, and Merritt.
Jep’s family is notable for starring in the A&E reality series Duck Dynasty, which aired from 2012 to 2017. Duck Commander is his successful family-operated business that makes products for duck hunters.
