James William Van Der Beek, born on March 8, 1977, is an American actor renowned for his role as Dawson Leery in The WB's television series Dawson's Creek (1998–2003). He also portrayed a fictionalized version of himself in the cult ABC sitcom, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (2012–2013). In addition to these, he took on the character of FBI Agent Elijah Mundo in CSI: Cyber (2015–2016) and played Matt Bromley in the first season of the FX drama, Pose (2018).
