Is PureGym open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day 2022?

As the festive period is the time of great big feasts, it’s no surprise people are curious to know when their local gyms are open. Staying in shape and on top of that winter weight is a priority for some, even in the cold weather. With that in mind, is PureGym open over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day 2022?

As the majority of PureGym sites are open 24/7, they operate with no on-site staff during certain hours. Usually from 12 am – 6 am, 24-hour sites will be open to members to get their pump on, whilst a security team monitors the gyms on CCTV. This can make them the ideal location for a winter workout over the holiday season.

PureGym opening times for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day 2022

The gym company has stated that they are closing their gyms for a short period of time over the festive season. Although they have not released any specific times or further details.

This means, in terms of the PureGym opening times for Christmas Eve, members should assume normal opening hours for their nearest gym. However, members should check their local gym’s homepage for any festive closing time updates.

As for Christmas Day, Sunday, 25th December, PureGym stated on Twitter that some of their 24-hour gyms will be closed.

We are afraid not all gyms will be remaining open on Christmas day. We can only apologise for any inconvenience caused. #PureHelp

Instead, gym goers are advised to check their local gym opening times. Members can find their local gym using the ‘find your gym’ function on the PureGym website.

Here, all information can be found about the gyms’ opening and closing times over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day 2022.

As Boxing Day (Monday, 26th December) is a bank holiday, PureGym sites normally stay open to members during these times. However, as their customer service team has explained on Twitter, this festive season they have opted to allow some time off for all members of their team.

We wish to allow all of our teams (included the CCTV team who man the gyms when they are un-staffed) to spend time with their families and have a well-earned rest over the festive period. We will be open in the majority of our gyms on 26th December. #PureHelp

Unlike last year, when the majority of their gyms stayed open, PureGym has stated they wish to give their CCTV team a break during the 2022 festive period. This means more closures of certain gyms on Christmas Day and the festive period in general.
