Indoor Fun: The Front Porch-Indoor Play Space

Oh, how I miss the Ager Center. I loved the climbing structure, the room to run and the toddler area. A friend wrote to me telling me to visit the Front Porch.

I'm re-sharing that information from a few years ago. The Front Porch is a locally owned and operated coffee shop with a FREE indoor play area for kids. They have a café with delicious coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, snacks and more.

The play space has a climbing structure similar to what you would find at a fast food restaurant plus they have some beloved items like the hippo, crocodile and tree from the Ager Center. It isn't the same size as Ager but there is room to run and is a great place to meet friends and make new ones. There are chairs for parents to sit on, although most were sitting on the ground when we were there. The space is for preschool-aged kids and younger. And it is FREE to use. Yes, you read that right. FREE.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, socks need to be worn and it is open from 7 am to 6 pm every day.

Located in the space is a coffee shop called the Front Porch. They take cash and credit. The employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. All food items are to be kept outside in the cafe area. There are lots of tables and seating areas.

It is located on 5925 Adams St at Cross the Line Church. You don't need to be a member of the church to play (we aren't members), it is open to the public. It was crowded on the morning that we went but there was still room for the kids to play. It was so nice to have somewhere for my kids to run. They climbed and climbed and climbed while I had coffee.
