How to use amazon garage to find the right parts for your car
PartCycle.com makes it easy for you to get the quality used parts you need for your vehicle, fast. Using your VIN number can help identify more information about your vehicle so you can ensure you’re ordering the right part.
What is a VIN Number?
The vehicle identification number (VIN) is the identifying code for a specific, individual automobile. Each VIN number is unique and serves as the car’s “fingerprint”, as no two vehicles in operation have the same VIN number. A VIN number is the string of 17 numbers and letters that an automobile manufacturer assigns to an individual vehicle, at the time it is manufactured.
What Can a VIN Number Tell Me?
The VIN reveals certain things about a vehicle including engine size, model year and trim level. Knowing these details can help you identify the exact configuration of your vehicle, so when searching for parts on PartCycle.com, you can ensure you’re getting the right part at the right fit.

Finding Your Vehicle’s VIN Number
You can find the VIN on the actual vehicle itself:
Note: VIN locations may vary per vehicle, but should be located in at least one of the below.
- Vehicle’s Owners’ Manual
- Inside the driver-side doorjamb—Open the door, and look underneath where the side-view mirror would be located if the door was shut.
- Rear wheel well—Try looking up, directly above the tire.
- Driver-side doorpost—Open the door, and look near the spot where the door latches, not too far from the seatbelt return.
- Lower-left corner of the dashboard, in front of the steering wheel—You can read the number by looking through the windshield.
- Front of the engine block—This should be easy to spot by popping open the hood, and looking at the front of the engine.
- Front of the car frame—near the container that holds windshield washer fluid.
- Underneath the spare tire.
You can also check any documentation you have for the vehicle, such as:
- Vehicle title.
- Registration card.
- Insurance documents.
- Owner’s manual.
- Body shop repair records.
- Police reports.
- Vehicle history report or VIN check.
If you still can’t locate the VIN, call a dealership or the manufacturer and request guidance.
PartCycle’s 10th Digit VIN Decoder

Description
CAUTION: Repairing a garage door is a dangerous task. Garage door springs are under extreme tension and require appropriate safety precautions. Realize and understand the risks before undertaking any repair. Your health and safety is the #1 concern. No amount of financial savings is worth jeopardizing your health. Working on or around garage doors and openers could result in property damage, personal injury or death. While all efforts are made to provide accurate information and guidance, it is impossible to predict all repair circumstances. Accordingly, the user agrees that use of all products and information contained herein are at your own risk. In no event shall GARAGE DOOR STUFF .COM or Unique Repair & Supply be liable for any property damage, personal injury/death, or any other loss or damage that may result from your use of the information and products provided on this site. All information contained within this site is provided “as-is” without warranty expressed or implied. User assumes all responsibility/risk for use of information and products purchased.
Determining the correct spring for your door can be done one of several ways.
1 – Extension springs are color coated, see the chart below and order accordingly.
2 – Weigh the door. For a single car door place a bath scale in the center of the opening, remove all spring tension from the door and lower the door onto the scale. For a double door use two bath scales, a foot in from each side of the opening. Over time doors pick up weight, paint and moisture can add significantly to the overall weight of the door, weighing the door is the ONLY way to be positive of the proper springs required. However, great care must be taken when weighing the door. Total door weight indicates the springs you will need, for example, if the door weighs 100 pounds, you need two 100 pound springs, one on each side. When using two scales, add the weights together for the total door weight.
DOOR MUST BE IN THE FULLY OPEN POSITION TO REMOVE THE TENSION. RAISE DOOR & PUT VISE GRIPS ON THE TRACK UNDER THE BOTTOM ROLLERS (BOTH SIDES OF THE DOOR) – REMOVE SPRING TENSION. ON A SINGLE CAR DOOR TWO PEOPLE CAN LOWER THE DOOR ONTO THE SCALE –TWO CAR DOORS WILL REQUIRE COME ALONGS TO LOWER THE DOOR – ONE ON EACH SIDE.
BEWARE OF PICH POINTS WHEN LOWERING DOOR ONTO SCALE.
GARAGE DOORS ARE HEAVY! TAKE NECASSARY PRECAUTIONS!
STAGE CLAMPS ON DOOR TRACKS TO CATCH DOOR IF IT GETS AWAY FROM YOU.

- Some say a clean car drives better — but at the very least it looks better.
- As spring nears, everyday drivers and collectors work to keep their cars free of dirt, pollen, bird droppings, and other debris.
- As a car collector, these are the products I use and recommend, like soaps, waxes, leather conditioners, and microfiber cloths.
During winter, the extent of cleaning your car probably consists of removing snow and salt so you can actually see where you’re going — but during warmer seasons it’s all about attention to detail.
Dirt, pollen, tree sap, bird droppings, and normal road build-up are just some of the many things that can prevent your ride from looking its best.

I own three classic BMWs: a 1991 325i convertible, a 1991 318is, and a 1993 525i wagon. With each of them being more than 25 years old, I do my very best to maintain and preserve their appearance and these are the products I use every year.
Whether you’re a meticulous enthusiast preparing for a car show or an average person trying to care for your car, these are the products you’ll also want at your disposal. You’ll find everything from car wash soaps and waxes to leather cleaners and microfiber cloths — plus a few other unexpected picks.

Older Kids Need the Right Seat, Too
For their safety, many kids 8 to 12 years old still need to use a booster seat. Make sure they ride in a booster seat until they outgrow the size limits of their booster, or until they are big enough for an adult seat belt to fit them properly. A properly fitting seat belt means:
- The shoulder belt lies snugly across the shoulder and chest, not crossing the neck or face.
- The lap belt lies snugly across the upper thighs, not the stomach.
Make sure your child is buckled up properly on every trip and remember to keep them in the back seat at least through age 12. Learn more about the proper fit.
If you love your kids enough to relearn math for them, then you’ve come to the right place to make sure they’re in the right seat.
