How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

A few days ago we showed you how you can download Fortnite on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch after its removal from the App Store. While that guide works perfectly fine, it is quite lengthy and requires the device to be jailbroken. Good news is there is a much easier way to re-download Fortnite on any iOS device. The device does not even need to be jailbroken as the game is downloaded from App Store through Apple’s official servers.

The only prerequisite for this guide is that you need to have access to an Apple ID which has previously been used to download Fortnite from the App Store. No matter if the initial download was made 2 years ago, if the game was downloaded using this Apple ID you will be able to re-download Fortnite on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

If you don’t have an Apple ID that was used to download Fortnite before, then you can also ask a friend to sign in with his or her Apple account on your device’s App Store and download it for you. After the game has been downloaded your friend can sign out from their Apple ID and the game will continue to work. Since the game will not receive any updates until Epic Games and Apple sort things out you will not have to sign in with your friend’s account to update the game.

Alternatively, you can also re-download Fortnite if you use Family Sharing and one of your family members has used their Apple ID to download this game in the past.

How to re-download Fortnite on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

In order to re-download Fortnite on your iOS device follow these simple steps.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

  1. Open the App Store and tap on the Apple Account Display Picture form top right side of the screen.
  2. From the Account menu tap on Purchased option.
  3. Now type ‘Fortnite’ in the search field.
  4. Tap on the cloud button located next to Fortnite to start downloading.

After re-downloading Fortnite from the App Store you will still need to download in-game content after which you will be able to play Fortnite like normal.

There you go folks, this is how you can re-download Fortnite on any iOS device without jailbreak. The app is downloaded from the App Store, which means it is completely safe and does not require the device to be jailbroken.

Apple and Google might have removed Fortnite from the App Store and Play Store, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to download. If you’ve ever installed the game onto your iPhone or iPad before it was banned, you can reinstall the Fortnite app right now. Here’s how.

Update: Apple revoked Epic Games’ developer account from the App Store, which means you can no longer download Fortnite, whether you had previously installed it on one of your devices or not. You can still see the listing if you follow the steps below, but your iPhone or iPad will be unable to reinstall the game.

Before we begin, if you want to play the mobile version of Fortnite on Android, you can still download the app and manually install the game. It’s also available to Samsung Galaxy smartphone and tablet owners from the Galaxy Store.

Start by opening the “App Store” on your iPhone or iPad. Use Apple’s built-in Spotlight search if you cannot find the app on your smartphone or tablet.

Finally, switch to the “Not on this iPhone” tab, search for “Fortnite,” and then select the Download button.

Obviously, if Fortnite isn’t listed, it means you’ve never downloaded the game before using your current Apple ID.

Once the app is reinstalled on your iPhone or iPad, you can sign in to your Epic Games account, download game assets, and start playing.

Feel free to delete the Fortnite app from your Apple device at any time in the future without fear, as you can download it again, even if it’s still removed from the App Store.

Are you one of those affected by the news regarding Fortnite’s removal from the App Store and Google Play Store?

But just as when you thought that all hope is lost in playing Fortnite again on your preferred iOS device, it is not. You can still re-download the game on your iPhones and iPads granted you meet these two conditions:

  • You previously downloaded the game on your iPad/iPhone
  • You are using the same Apple ID you used to download the game before

With these conditions met, simply re-download the game by taking the following steps:

Step 1: Check your purchase history in the App Store

The App Store contains a section that lists all of your previous transactions on it. Having had installed the game before, you could expect to see Fortnite in the list of your previously bought games.

To check your transaction history in the platform, simply run the App Store. From there, click on your profile icon located at the top-right corner of the screen, then clicking on “Purchased,” followed by “My Purchases.”

Step 2: Look for Fortnite

Depending on how frequent your transactions with the App Store is, the list may be either long or short. Regardless, the next step is to find the game from the list that means having to scroll down the list.

Alternatively, you can make this step easier by choosing to search for the game specifically by typing the title letter-by-letter. Granted you’ve previously installed the game in the same device using the same account, it should appear instantaneously.

Step 3: Install the game

Having found the game in your account, the next step is to logically re-download the game in order to install it again.

Voila! You are now able to play Fortnite again in your existing Apple device.

Apple may have pulled “Fortnite” from the App Store, but if you own it, you can reinstall it. Here’s how to do it.

You may have heard that Apple has removed Fortnite from the App Store, preventing it from being downloaded to the iPhone or the iPad. While this is true, if you already have the app attached to your account, you can still install it — Apple’s move only prevents first-time installs.

When Apple removes something from the App Store listing, it becomes unavailable for new downloads. However, every app you download becomes registered to your ID, which allows you to download it again, even if it is not on the App Store.

Important: You must have previously “purchased” Fortnite on your device in order to install it now. Because Apple has removed it from the App Store search listing, you cannot install the game without previously owning it.

  1. Open the App Store on your device
  2. Tap on your Apple ID corner in the top right of the screen

Once downloaded, you will be able to play Fortnite on your device of choice.

Epic’s revolt against Apple has resulted in Fortnite being removed from the App Store, but there’s still a way for you to reinstall the game… with one big caveat attached. First of all, it should be noted that when Apple kicks an app or game out of the App Store, it’s not actually removed in most cases. Instead, Apple has simply removed Fortnite from its search listings. This of course means that searching for the app brings up no results within the App Store directory, and any previous direct links to Fortnite no longer work (i.e. if you did a web search and came across a URL taking you to Fortnite on the App Store).

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

And that leads us to the caveat; as long as you have previously installed Fortnite on any of your iOS devices at some point (which is likely quite a few of you out there) or any devices linked to your family account, there’s still a way for you to reinstall the game despite Apple’s blockade. You can access the game to download it again by taking the following steps:

  1. Navigate to and open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Click on your circular profile icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen
  3. Go to “Purchased” then tap “My Purchases”
  4. You will then see a listing of every purchase you’ve ever made from the App Store (including free apps)
  5. Type in “Fortnite” and the app should appear below the search box
  6. Click the download icon and you’ll be up and running again with Fortnite

If you haven’t previously installed Fortnite on any of your devices, you’re simply out of luck at this point – or at least until Apple and Epic can kiss and make up. Given how much money as at stake for both companies, we have the feeling that the two will come to an agreement eventually; hopefully before Apple’s August 28 th ultimatum date.

And if you’re really desperate, you could just head on over to eBay…

Feel free to remove the Fortnite app from your Apple device at any time in the future without fear as you can download it again even if it is still removed from the App Store.

For a few days one of the most popular games in the world, Fortnite, has not been available in the Android Play Store or in the Apple App Store. However, if we have an Android device, we can continue installing it without any problem.

However, if we had not previously installed it on any other device associated with our account, as of today, we cannot install Fortnite on our device. But things change if at some point we install it, since this is associated with our account and is still available.

If we have previously installed Fortnite on our device, we can continue downloading it even if it is not available, since the download is still available even if the app has been removed or banned from the store.

Reinstall Fortnite on iPhone or iPad

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

The first thing we must do is use the same ID on the device where we are going to install it that we use to download it at some point in the past. If it is not the same ID, we will not be able to download it again.

  • Next, we go to the App Store, click on our avatar, and in the Purchased section.
  • Next, we look for Fortnite and click on the cloud with a down arrow.
  • The application will download the latest version published by Epic on the App Store, number 13.40.1.

The date that is shown next to the application corresponds to the date on which you associated your account, come on, what you downloaded it for the first time.

If you had not previously installed Fortnite through your ID, the only way to be able to install Fortnite again on your iPhone or iPad it’s through the jailbreak, a method that allows us to install any application on our device as long as we have the application, in this case the .ipa file.

Thanks to Microsoft, you can finally play Fortnite on iOS once again.

Fortnite is back on iOS, but it’s not through the App Store.

In 2020, Epic Games updated Fortnite to feature in-app payments that went directly to the video game developer, bypassing Apple’s strict rules on in-app payments and commissions. Apple didn’t take too kindly to this violation of its guidelines, and so it permanently banned the popular multiplayer shooting game from the App Store. And to this day, the game is still not available for download in that way and it could be years before it returns to the App Store , but there is another way to play Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad.

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced a partnership with Epic Games that would make Fortnite accessible to anyone with an Xbox Cloud Gaming account. Nvidia announced a similar partnership with Epic Games that also allows you to play Fortnite, via its GeForce Now streaming service . All long as you have access to a web browser — such as Safari or Chrome — you can once again play Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad.

Here’s what you need to know.

Fortnite is available to play on GeForce Now for iOS.

For Xbox Cloud Gaming, first create or sign in to your Microsoft account

If you already have a Microsoft account, you can skip ahead to the next section. If not, you need to create a Microsoft account first, which takes only a few minutes.

On your iPhone or iPad, in the web browser of your choice, go to the Microsoft sign-up website and create a new account using an email or a phone number. The process involves creating a password, adding your name and birthdate, verifying your email and solving a puzzle to prove that you’re not a bot.

Save your username and password to iCloud or keep your credentials elsewhere, because you’ll need them later to play Fortnite.

You can quickly create a Microsoft account.

Now, go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website and add it to your home screen

In Safari, Chrome or other mobile web browser, go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website and tap the green Play for Free button underneath the Fortnite logo. If you aren’t already signed in to your Microsoft account, do that now. An Xbox account is also required to play any games, so if you’re asked to create an Xbox account, do so.

Next, tap the green Get Ready to Play button — this will bring up a window at the bottom of the screen asking you to add Xbox Cloud Gaming to your home screen to launch the game from there. To do this, tap the share button in the navigation bar and then hit Add to Home Screen. You must add the website to your home button or else you won’t be able to play Fortnite.

Add the Xbox Cloud Gaming service to your home screen.

Finally, open the home screen app and play Fortnite

Once the Xbox Cloud Gaming website is on your home screen, hit Play for Free, sign in to your Microsoft account and then tap Play to begin playing Fortnite.

A loading screen from Xbox and then one from Fortnite will appear. Use the controls on the screen to link your Fortnite account or play as a guest (I ran into problems playing as a guest, so I would recommend linking your existing Fortnite account or creating one).

At the top left, you have a number of controls to mute your microphone, exit the game, configure your controls, view the Xbox menu and more. For the best experience, bring down the control center, make sure the portrait orientation lock button is off and flip your phone horizontally so that you can play full-screen.

As for gameplay, Fortnite obviously doesn’t run as smoothly as it does on your computer or gaming console, and the controls are a bit difficult to master, but at least this does offer you a way to play on the go — as long as you have a pretty decent internet connection.

This is what Fortnite via Xbox Cloud Gaming looks like on the iPad.

For Nvidia, how to play Fortnite with GeForce Now

As long as you’re a GeForce Now member, you can also play Fortnite on iOS thanks to Nvidia’s video game streaming service. However, unlike with Xbox Cloud Gaming, you’re limited to a single hour session at a time with the free GeForce Now membership. After an hour, the service will automatically close, and while you can start another hour session right after, constant interruptions are not ideal.

To play Fortnite, go to the GeForce Now website in your web browser, tap the share icon and hit Add to Home Screen to add the service to your home screen as an app. Next, launch the GeForce Now app you just created, agree to the terms and conditions and tap on Fortnite.

Before you can play the game, you must either log in to your existing account or create a new one. Choose the free membership option (you can also pay to avoid session interruptions), and enter your email, a password, a display name and your birthdate. Once your account is created, go back and hit Play to load up Fortnite.

Like with Xbox Cloud Gaming, you have a number of touch controls for playing the game, as well as to bring up a keyboard, mute your microphone, copy and paste and other actions. And as mentioned in the previous section, it’s best to play the game horizontally so that you have more screen real estate for it.

Ever since its introduction, Fortnite has been a trendy game globally. However, with the Epic vs. Apple battle initiation, Apple removed the game from its App Store. While there’s no natural way of downloading the game directly from anywhere, there are still some loopholes to get the game back on your iPhone.

So, let’s take a look at a couple of different tricks to download Fortnite on iOS.

Note: Keep in mind, these tricks are only applicable if the game has been downloaded from an Apple account at least once during its availability on App Store. If you’ve never downloaded the app, you can play other similar battle royale games on your iPhone/iPad.

How to download Fortnite on iPhone via the App Store

Despite Apple removing Fortnite from the App Store, you can still get it on your device if you have played the game in the past. Here’s how:

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile photo at the top right.
  3. Under this section, tap Purchased.
  4. Now here, use the search bar to search for Fortnite.
  5. Once found, tap the download icon to get Fortnite back on your iPhone.

Note: This method will work only if you have downloaded the game before. If you’ve never done it before, move on to the next method!

How to download Fortnite on iPhone if you’ve never downloaded it

Had someone in your family downloaded Fortnite on their iPhone in the past? Then ask them to add you to their Family Sharing! This will give you access to the game on your device,

Note: You need to link your Apple ID with someone else’s via Family Sharing for this method to work.

This is how you can set up Family Sharing:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Under this, tap Family Sharing.
  4. Now follow the on-screen instructions to set up Family Sharing.
Note: You’ll also have to share your payment methods, and the accounts you link with can use your payment method to purchase for themselves.
  5. Tap Purchase Sharing and turn it On.
  6. Now, go back to the App Store.
  7. Follow the steps discussed earlier to get in the Purchased section.
Note: If you have already linked your account with any family members or friends, follow the steps below.
  8. After tapping Purchased, tap the shared person’s account.
  9. Again search for Fortnite using the search bar.
  10. Once found, tap the download icon beside the game to download it.

Additionally, an alternative to the above tricks is jailbreaking your device to download Fortnite. However, we strongly recommend against it as jailbreaking violates the device’s warranty and terms & conditions.

Epic Games made a calculated risk on August 13th when it updated Fortnite to bypasses Apple and Google’s in-app purchase fees. Predictably, this update led to the immediate removal of Fortnite from the App Store and Play Store. If you’re hankering for some mobile gaming, you can reinstall Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad, or manually install Fortnite on any Android device.

Everything you download from Apple’s App Store permanently tethers to your Apple ID. You can reinstall previously-owned apps at any time, even if you’re using a new iPhone or iPad. Open the App Store and touch your avatar on the top-right corner of the screen. Then, go to the “Purchased” menu, press “My Purchases,” and search for Fortnite. You should see the option to reinstall it, along with the date you first downloaded the game on iOS.

Android gamers have the option to download Fortnite directly from Epic Games, even if they’ve never played Fortnite on their phone or tablet. You may need to dig through your phone’s settings to allow manual app downloads.

Unfortunately, iOS gamers who want to experience Fortnite for the first time are SOL. You have to wait for Apple and Epic to sort things out or play the game on a laptop, game console, or Android device.

Fortnite is no longer available in the iOS App Store. In this article, we’ll show you alternate ways to play Fortnite on your iPhone and what to look out for in the process.

How Do I Download Fortnite on My iPhone?

If you’re trying to download Fortnite on your iPhone for the first time, then we have bad news for you. The popular battle royale game is no longer available on the iOS App Store. As such, there’s no way to download it for the first time. If you’ve downloaded it on your iPhone, though, you can grab it from the My Purchases tab to re-download it.

First, open the App Store on your iPhone.

Tap on your Account icon at the top of the screen.

Select Purchased.

Find Fortnite in the list of apps. You can also filter via Not on this iPhone option to make it easier to find apps you haven’t installed yet.

How Do You Get Fortnite on iOS After the Ban of 2020?

If you weren’t lucky enough to download Fortnite before Apple banned it in 2020, then you can try getting access via Apple’s Family Sharing feature. You’ll need to enable this feature on the phone with access to Fortnite and on the phone that you want to download it on.

Open the Settings app on the iPhone with Fortnite.

Tap your Apple ID.

Tap Family Sharing and add the Apple ID of the other device to your family.

Once Family Sharing has been set up, and the second iPhone has been added to the family, you’ll be able to redownload Fortnite on that new device, too.

Get Fortnite Through Nvidia GeForce Now

Of course, this option requires that you have another iPhone with access to the Fortnite app already. If you don’t, you can always play the battle royale using Nvidia’s GeForce Now program.

GeForce Now is a cloud gaming service that offers free and paid tiers. When subscribed, you’ll be able to play the latest version of Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad through the Safari browser.

To get started, head to the Nvidia GeForce Now website and choose a subscription option. We recommend trying out the free version first to ensure that your internet will allow you to play smoothly. Once signed up, all you need to do is find Fortnite on the service and then launch it to get started. You’ll have to sign in to your Epic Games account, but then you should be able to jump in and start fighting for your next Victory Royale.

Apps crash due to bugs and software conflicts. When an iPhone app keeps crashing, update or reinstall it, then update and restart your phone.

You can delete your Fortnite account by going to the Epic Games website in the Safari browser. (Deleting the Fortnite app will not delete your Fortnite account.)

The Fortnite mobile app takes up about 3GB of space on your iPhone. If you don’t have room, free up space on your iPhone.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipadSource: Epic Games

As of right now, you can’t download Fortnite on iPhone or iPad. Apple recently terminated Epic Games’ developer account on the App Store following a legal battle. This means that there’s no way for you to reinstall Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad. You can still play it if you have it already installed, but Apple is blocking any further updates to the game, so you won’t be able to play any of the upcoming seasons or face players using other platforms.

Apple terminated Epic Games’ account from the App Store, making it impossible to download Fortnite on iPhone and iPad

In case you didn’t notice, Fortnite, arguably the most popular game in the world, has been removed from the App Store and Play Store. This was because of a dispute that started between Epic Games and Apple. This issue caused Apple to delete Fortnite from the App Store, making it impossible to find or download Fortnite on iPhone or iPad.

If you downloaded Fortnite before, there was a way to download it. You just needed to check your previously purchased apps on your App Store profile, search for Fortnite, and reinstall it.

Sadly, this method is no longer an option. Epic Games shared that Apple terminated its developer account, which means there’s no possible way to download Fortnite on iPhone, iPad, or even your Mac computer.

Is there any way to play Fortnite on iPhone or iPad?

Source: iMore

As of right now, the only way to download Fortnite on iPhone or iPad is if you already have the game installed. But, before you start looking for an iPhone with Fortnite installed on eBay, you must know that it won’t be as fun as you think.

Epic Games stated that Apple is blocking any Fortnite updates on any Apple device. This means that any future updates, including the current Chapter 2 – Season 4 update, will no longer be available on iPhone or iPad.

Plus, even if you still decide to play it, you’ll only be matched with other iPhone or iPad players since cross-platform matchmaking is also unavailable. The only players you’ll face will be other iPhone or iPad users, which makes it a lot less fun. Apple is not playing around on this one.

When will Fortnite be available on the App Store again?

As of right now, nobody knows for sure. Epic Games has filled different complaints against Apple and Google, but until those are settled, we don’t know exactly if or when Fortnite will be available again on the App Store and Play Store.

There’s even the possibility that, after everything settles, Apple won’t give Epic Games its developer account back. However, all that remains to be seen.

You can’t download Fortnite on iPhone or iPad but…

Sure, it sucks that Fortnite is gone for who knows how long. There’s not much we can do about it, other than using #FreeFortnite on social media.

The good news is that you can play Fortnite pretty much anywhere. The game is available on every other platform available. Whether is console or PC, there are still ways you to play the game. While the game was also removed from the Google Play Store, based on how the Android OS works, you can still download and play Fortnite from outside of the Google Play Store.

Plus, there are dozens of shooting games available on the iPhone and iPad you can play right now. If you do, make sure to check our pick for the best controller for iPhone. It was the best for Fornite, and it’ll be just as good for other games.

I get it, it’s not the ideal solution. Playing on your iPhone or iPad is probably the best option for most of us, but it’s something we can’t do right now. The bright side is that the game is free, and available everywhere, so if you want to keep playing, and supporting Epic Games there are other ways to do it.

Update September 1st, 10:43AM ET: The following article has been updated following Apple’s termination of Epic Games’ developer account. That action made it impossible to reinstall all Epic apps associated with that account, including Fortnite and the Inifinity Blade trilogy. The headline has been updated to reflect this fact.

Fortnite disappeared from the App Store last month as part of developer Epic Games’ big legal and regulatory showdown with Apple, but the battle royale hit was not gone entirely — at least not for a little while. Apple terminated Epic’s developer account last week, making it impossible to reinstall iOS versions of Epic’s apps, but there was a short period of time during which iPhone and iPad owners were still able to get their hands on Fortnite using a lesser-known feature of iOS.

If you’ve never downloaded Fortnite, you’re out of luck for now — and we recommend avoiding any of the eBay listings that appear to be popping up to hawk iPhones with the game installed for as much as $10,000. That sounds suspect.

Those who have the game downloaded already can still play it, of course, and even install update files. But since the launch of Chapter 2: Season 4 last week, iOS players no longer have access to the latest content, including the Marvel-themed new season. Players who play exclusively on iPhone and iPad (as well as macOS) are also unable to use crossplay with other systems.

For those who had downloaded Fortnite at least once in the past but perhaps offloaded it or removed it manually, there was still a way to reinstall the game on your iOS device of choice. Here’s how that method worked before Apple terminated Epic’s account:

  1. Go to the “My Purchases” section of the App Store, which can be found by clicking on your avatar (typically whatever Memoji or photo you’ve chosen for your Apple ID contact image) in the top right-hand corner of any of the main screens
  2. From there, tap “purchased,” then “My Purchases” to find your app directory of all iOS apps you’ve ever downloaded
  3. Search “Fortnite”
  4. The app should show up, and tapping the cloud icon will initiate the downloading process

You still needed to install the nearly 10GB collection of app files, as Fortnite exists on mobile as a kind of shell for the larger chunk of game files that must be retrieved from Epic servers. But going through that process would have put the app back on your home screen and made it available to play once updated, for now at least. The trick even works if any member of an Apple Family Sharing plan has ever downloaded Fortnite on iOS in the past.

It’s not quite right to call this a loophole, as this behavior has always existed in one form or another for iOS apps. For instance, you could still play Flappy Bird for years after its creator pulled the game from the App Store, until Apple switched away from 32-bit apps with the launch of iOS 11 in 2017 and the game ceased functioning.

As part of Apple’s termination of Epic’s developer account, Epic is no longer able to submit new apps to the App Store or issue updates to any existing ones. And with the apps completely delisted, they can’t be reinstalled even if you search for and find them in your purchase history. Trying to do so just results in a message reading, “This item is no longer available.”

There’s no telling how long this Fortnite struggle will persist or whether Epic will ever decide to give in to Apple’s demands and remove its own in-app payment method. As of right now, you can still take Epic up on its price cut offer by paying less for Fortnite V-bucks. But you’re no longer able to buy the new season’s battle pass because Epic can’t update the app properly.

This functionality might not work for long, however.

Unless you’ve been free of social media for the past week (lucky you), you are probably aware of the legal showdown happening between Apple and Fortnite creator, Epic Games. After Epic Games snuck a new payment method in, and after Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store, and after Epic Games sued, Fortnite has been back in the news more than it has been in quite some time.

Maybe all of this Fortnite talk has you wanting to dive back into the title. It’s already been confirmed that for players that still have the hit battle royale on their iPhone and iPad that they can continue to play until Epic’s next big patch, but what about if you’ve previously had the game on your phone? Is there a way to get it back?

Surprisingly, the answer is yes, and we’ll show you how below.

How to get Fortnite back on your iOS device now that it is no longer on the App Store

Alright, so first things first, this will only work if you have had the game installed on your iOS device in the past. If you’ve never downloaded it, you’re out of luck.

    1. Open up the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
    2. Tap on your profile picture in the top-right corner
    3. Navigated to the Purchased section (if you are on some sort of family plan, you may have to click on My Purchases next)
    4. Search for Fortnite
    5. And boom, you’re done.

Currently, this method still works but as Epic Games continues to update Fortnite, it is doubtful that iOS players will be able to continue to jump in with everyone, as they will be on a different version of the game.

What do you think? Plan on using this method to download Fortnite on your iOS device? Let us know down below in the comments or carry the discussion over to our Twitter or Facebook.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

In a detailed procedure, you’ll learn how to easily get the already removed Epic’s Fortnite reinstalled on your iOS supported devices such as iPhone and iPad. This is not the end for iOS Fortnite and certainly not for Apple.

This process is only available for those that have already downloaded the game before now. With the ongoing feud between Fortnite and Apple, we are not sure we will get to see Fortnite for a new download sooner or later.

Despite being pulled from Apple’s app store, the battle royale hit is still available for download on iOS devices via reinstallation. If you have downloaded before and deleted the app, you can still download it again.

Yes, you can still play it of course, and even install update files. But the only issue is that you can’t get the next big patch update. Which will think Fortnite might keep in place for time being until this showdown is resolved.

In order to learn how to reinstall Fortnite on iOS and get it up and running on your iOS device, bear it in mind that you will still have to install the nearly 10GB collection of large app files that must be retrieved from Epic servers:

    • Then “My Purchases” for all iOS apps you’ve ever downloaded.
    • On this platform, you have to search “Fortnite.”
    • When the Fortnite app shows up, tap on the cloud icon to commence the downloading

It will also work for the Apple Family Sharing plan if any member has previously downloaded Fortnite and deleted it.

Well, this is not particularly a trick as this program has been ongoing for iOS apps. Whenever you previously downloaded a game/app, and due to one reason or the other, you deleted the app, there is the possibility of reinstalling it again from the cloud.

However, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 will launch on August 27th, but it won’t be available on iOS. When Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store, it also informed Epic that Apple will terminate all its developer accounts and cut Epic off from iOS and Mac development tools on Friday, August 28.

When you have successfully reinstalled Fortnite on iOS back on your iOS device, you can still pay less for Fortnite v-bucks that costs $7.99 via its in-app payment method and bypass Apple’s 30 percent cut that costs $9.99. This is for the v-bucks mega drop discounts.

Epic Games has told Fortnite players on iOS that they will need to delete and reinstall the game to keep on playing.

Disgruntled iPhone and iPad users quickly discovered they were unable to load into Battle Royale after a game-breaking bug was introduced in the most recent 9.40.1 patch.

Epic’s unusual “fix” has understandably upset a lot of fans, who now have to download gigabytes of data all over again.

This week’s version 9.40 Fortnite update is a big one. It introduces new tactical shotguns and big gameplay changes, and it comes after several weeks of no improvements at all.

But if you play Fortnite on iOS, you weren’t able to enjoy it.

    Bug breaks Fortnite on iOS

A significant bug in the latest update prevents iPhone and iPad players from loading up the game. Some say they encounter a “file corruption” error — others just experience crashes.

Epic, in a tweet on Thursday afternoon, asked Fortnite players on iOS to “please hold off on updating until this issue is resolved.” It later confirmed a fix, but you’re not going to like it.

“After further investigation, iOS players can delete the app and reinstall in order to resolve the update error,” Epic said.

So, we don’t have another update to fix this problem. You can’t just download a small patch and keep on playing. You actually have to remove Fortnite from your device and start again.

That’s incredibly annoying. Fortnite’s App Store download weighs in at less than 145MB, but you’ll then need to download several gigabytes of content data when you first load up the game.

That’s not convenient for anyone, and it seems a development studio as big as Epic could have surely found another way to fix this problem. But it didn’t.

    There is no other way

Even if you didn’t install the new update right away, the situation remains the same. Because there isn’t another patch to download, you’re in the same boat as everyone else. A reinstall is necessary.

You can’t play Fortnite if you’re running an out-of-date version of the game, either. If you attempt to sign in to Battle Royale before updating, you will be redirected to the App Store.

A reinstall does fix the problem, so you will be able to play again if you follow Epic’s instructions. But still, it’s a pretty rubbish “fix.”

Due to a dispute over in-app purchases and Epic’s attempt to dodge Apple’s and Google’s 30% cut on payments, the super-popular game Fortnite was pulled from app stores in August 2020.

Despite rumors of the app coming back, users still can’t download the game. So fans were asking the question, “how to get Fortnite on the iPhone?”

Initially, users who had downloaded the game could still get the app from their previous purchase lists on iOS. However, after almost two years of hearings, the judge ruled in favor of Apple:

Which led to Apple’s termination of Epic’s developer account, which stopped the work-around of downloading Fortnite via the previous purchase list.

    So the question remains…

How To Get Fortnite On The iPhone?

Amazingly, a mobile-friendly version is currently in beta-testing and will be available in February 2022 via GeForce Now, Nvidia’s cloud gaming service:

And if you’re an Android user, Fortnite is already available via Nvidia’s service.

Nvidia’s GeForce Now is a game streaming service, which runs the games on PC hardware, and streams the action and interactions via the web.

Currently, the version isn’t optimized for mobile, leaving users streaming the game to Android playing with controllers.

The new mobile-friendly versions in testing include touchscreen controls and menus similar to the previous iOS and Android native versions.

    6. Agree to the terms and conditions.
    7. Sign in or register to become a member of GeForce Now.

    2. Head over to “settings.”
    3. Tap on the “connections” tab.
    4. Choose and tap on “Epic Games.”
    5. Log in to your Epic Game account from there.

After syncing your Epic Games account, your Fortnite profile will be at your fingertips. In fact, you just need to sign in once, just like you did on your iPhone.

    What is GeForce Now?

GeForce Now is a cloud-based gaming service that works similarly to Netflix.

In other words, you do not install the game on your device because the actual gameplay takes place on a server. That means you can access games like Skyrim so much faster on your device.

All one needs to access this service is a good internet connection, which Nvidia suggests being at least 25/MBs.

Subscription pricing works by providing three tiers for casual players at the bottom, beginning with a free tier for short sessions (1 hour) and limited performance.

The Priority plan costs $9.99 a month and includes both full performance and slightly longer sessions.

While the elite-performance RTX 3080 tier costs a much stiffer $99.99 for a six-month subscription (at the time of writing).

If your “Fortnite” installation isn’t running after an update, here’s what you need to do to get back up and running.

On Wednesday, Epic issued version 9.40.1 of Fortnite, expected to be one of the last updates of Season 9 for the Battle Royale shooter. The update introduced new content, including extra variants of weapons, but at the same time players complained of problems with the update.

In response, Epic advised on Twitter it was aware of an issue with the 9.40.1 patch on iOS relating to the update process, asking users to hold off from updating to it until “this issue is resolved.”

After further investigation, iOS players can delete the app and reinstall in order to resolve the update error.

On Thursday, the official Twitter account advised the issue was fixed. Users experiencing the update error were advised to delete the app from their devices and to reinstall it from the App Store.

    Here’s how to fix it.

    • Long-press on the “Fortnite” icon until it starts to shake and an X appears in the upper left hand corner of the icon.
    • Tap the X in the upper left hand corner to delete.
    • Open up the App Store, and re-download the app.

You won’t lose any gameplay. All of your loot is stored by Epic on their servers, and logging back in to your account will restore it all.

Typically, deleting an app to resolve updating issues isn’t the usual advice given by developers, as update mechanisms are generally robust enough to not warrant many changes to the code once implemented. Epic hasn’t advised what exactly happened to warrant the advice as of yet.

This is not the only iOS-related issue Epic has taken to Twitter to warn players about. On July 12, the company advised fans that there were “stability concerns” for the game when being played on iOS 13, recommending players do not use that version of the operating system for gameplay.

    What you need to know

    • Apple’s new iPhone 12 is here, and plenty of you will be setting up your new phones using an iCloud backup.
    • If you have Fortnite installed on your old device, however, you won’t be able to reinstall it.
    • This is because Fortnite remains banned from the App Store, so your phone is unable to download it.

If you’re buying an iPhone 12 and want to keep playing Fortnite, you might want to think twice about restoring your new phone from an iCloud backup.

As you might already be aware, if you delete or try to reinstall an iOS app that is no longer available on Apple’s iOS App Store, you’ll be met with an ‘unable to install’ error message. Sadly for gamers, this is also currently true of Fortnite.

As Twitter user Matt Birchler discovered, switching to a new iPhone and restoring from an iCloud backup will result in you losing access to Fortnite, even if you have the game installed on your previous phone.

Heh, looks like I lost Fortnite by transferring to a new phone. Suppose I should have seen that coming.

This is the result of Epic Games’ ongoing dispute with Apple over in-app-purchases and its alleged monopoly on iOS app distribution, currently an ongoing legal battle set for trial next year. Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store after Epic Games changed the way it handles payments on iOS, offering users the option to bypass Apple and buy directly from Epic in violation of the App Store guidelines.

Fortnite was removed from the App Store on August 13, and a court has twice since ruled that Apple is not required to restore the app, Judge Gonzalez Rogers ruling that there was significant public interest in requiring parties to adhere to their contractual agreements.

There are already perils for Fortnite players who want to try to update to iOS 14 due to an iOS feature that removes apps to make room for software updates before reinstalling them. If Fortnite is removed your iPhone won’t be able to reinstall it for the same reason.

I suspect if you did the direct phone-to-phone transfer you’d be okay right? Either via WiFi or wired. It’s just if you restore from iCloud.

It’s been suggested that a device-to-device transfer could be a workaround, however we understand that whilst DTD moves app data to your new phone, it still requires the app to be downloaded from the App Store to use, meaning there is likely no remedy to the issue.

Here’s how in iOS 11 you can manually use the Offload App and Reinstall App feature to save storage space on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device.

Apple has made some wonderful refinements with iOS 11. The company’s new mobile platform contains some excellent new feature additions, as well as smaller improvements, such as the system’s ability to automatically delete, or offload, apps when storage space is limited. A great feature which when enabled from Settings > iPhone Storage > Offload Unused Apps will hopefully promote a smoother iOS experience.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

That is all good as the underlying intelligence in iOS will be able to most of the time correctly determine when and which apps it will need to remove. But for those of you who want a bit more control over this offloading process, Apple has also added a manual way to do this. We’re going to jump right in and take a look at how you can make use of this feature yourself when needed. For manual control over this, you will need to make sure that you haven’t enabled automatic offloading of apps but in case you have, you will need to first disable it from Settings > iTunes & App Store before following the steps below.

Step 1: Just like most processes of this nature, you are going to start your journey in the stock Settings app. Launch Settings to begin.

Step 2: When the Settings app launches, head over to General > iPhone Storage. If you are using an iPad then this will be called iPad Storage, but it is still located in the same place.

Step 3: It may take a while for this section to load and refresh the data. Each time you are entering into this section the device essentially rips through the system and finds all the apps and calculates how much storage space they are taking up. Scroll down until you find the list of apps and the space they are taking up.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

Step 4: Select one of the apps by tapping on it. Make sure you select an app that you want to offload, so this will likely be one that you don’t use a lot but that is currently taking up a decent amount of capacity.

Step 5: Inside of that app, you will find that it gives you specific information such as App Size and Documents & Data with values assigned against them. Underneath that there is an “Offload App” option with some information about the offload process:

This will free up storage used by the app, but keep its documents and data. Reinstalling the app will reinstate your data if the app is still available in the App Store.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

Step 6: Now simply tap on Offload App to allow iOS to essentially remove the app from the device.

As per the information provided, this will physically delete the app and give you back the capacity shown in the App Size information, but the system will keep its documents and data so that when the app is reinstalled from the same spot at a later date using ‘Reinstall App’ option, all of its user information will be still there so that you can start using it without having to reconfigure everything from scratch.

Fortnite is back on iOS, but not via the App Store.

In 2020, Epic Games updated Fortnite to offer in-app payments directly to game developers, bypassing Apple’s strict rules for in-app payments and fees. Apple has permanently banned the popular multiplayer shooter from the App Store for not being particularly good at breaking these guidelines. And, as of today, the game still can’t be downloaded this way, and it may be years before it returns to the App Store, but there are other ways to play Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad.

Earlier this month, Microsoft announced a partnership with Epic Games to make Fortnite available to anyone with an Xbox Cloud Gaming account. Nvidia announced a similar partnership with Epic Games that will allow gamers to play Fortnite via its GeForce Now streaming service. You can play Fortnite again on your iPhone or iPad as long as you have access to a web browser like Safari or Chrome.

Here’s what you need to know.

For Xbox Cloud Gaming, first create a Microsoft account or sign in.

If you already have a Microsoft account, you can skip to the next section. Otherwise, you will need to create a Microsoft account first. This will take a few minutes.

In the web browser of your choice on your iPhone or iPad, go to the Microsoft registration website and create a new account using your email address or phone number. The process includes creating a password, adding your name and date of birth, verifying your email address, and solving puzzles to prove you’re not a bot.

Save your username and password in iCloud or save your credentials elsewhere, as you’ll need them later to play Fortnite.

Now go to the Xbox Cloud Gaming website and add it to your home screen.

Open the Xbox Cloud Gaming website in Safari, Chrome, or another mobile web browser and press the green Play Free button under the Fortnite logo. If you’re not signed into a Microsoft account, sign in now. You’ll also need an Xbox account to play all the games, so do so when prompted to create an Xbox account.

Then hit the green Ready to Play button and a window will appear at the bottom of the screen where you can start playing by adding Xbox Cloud Gaming to your home screen. To do so, tap the Share button in the navigation bar, then tap Add to Home Screen. You need to add your website to the home button. Otherwise, you will not be able to play Fortnite.

Finally, open the home screen app and play Fortnite.

When the Xbox Cloud Gaming website appears on the home screen, tap Free Play, sign in to your Microsoft account, and tap Play for Fortnite players.

When the loading screen appears on Xbox, one of the Fortnite will appear. Use the on-screen controls to link your Fortnite account or play as a guest (I’m having trouble playing as a guest, so we recommend linking or unlinking an existing Fortnite account. Create’).

On the top left are various controls for muting the microphone, exiting the game, setting controls, opening the Xbox menu, and more. For the best experience, pull up Control Center, make sure the Lock Portrait Orientation switch is off, then rotate your phone horizontally to go full screen.

In terms of gameplay, Fortnite definitely doesn’t work as smoothly as on PC or console games, and the controls are a bit tricky to work with, but at least it provides a way to play on the go. As long as you have a good enough internet connection.

How to play Fortnite with GeForce Now for Nvidia

GeForce Now members can also play Fortnite on iOS thanks to video game streaming service Nvidia. However, unlike Xbox Cloud Gaming, you are limited to one session hour at a time with a free GeForce Now subscription. After an hour, the service turns off automatically, after which you can start another hour’s session, but continuous blackouts are not ideal.

To play Fortnite, open the GeForce Now website in your web browser, tap the Share icon, and tap Add to Home Screen to add the service as an app to your home screen. Next, launch the GeForce Now app you just created, agree to the terms and conditions, and tap Fortnite.

You must log into an existing account or create a new one before playing. Choose the free membership option (you can pay to avoid interrupting your session) and enter your email, password, display name and date of birth. Once you’ve created an account, go back and hit play to load Fortnite.

As with Xbox Cloud Gaming, there are multiple touch controls for playing games, showing the keyboard, muting the microphone, copying and pasting, and other actions. And, as mentioned in the previous section, we recommend playing the game horizontally to get more screen real estate.

Epic Games has filed legal papers in response to Apple, read more here:

Epic Games had released a legal statement regarding Fortnite being banned from Apple’s servers. They said that the removal of Fortnite is “yet another example of major organizations flexing its enormous power in order to impose unreasonable restraints and unlawfully maintain its 100% monopoly over the market for in-app payments on phones”. Epic Games also released a Tweet regarding the same and created a PR campaign against Apple. They even recreated Nike’s 1984 advertisement which was related to their fight with IBM 36 years ago. After just hours of this Tweet, Fortnite player started supporting Epic and also started #FreeFortnite, a hashtag that has since been trending on Twitter.

A number of fans have been supporting the makers of Fortnite through their social media posts. They have bee sharing their thought with #FreeFortnite that has been dominating the social media lately. Some popular faces of the gaming industry have also shared their thought about the same. A popular Youtuber, Steven Boogie2988 Williams took to his Twitter and wrote, “Wanna know what’s stupid about this #freefortnite thing? This was all done to try to bypass the % fee that the apple store takes from sales in-app. But other games already solved this by selling directly to them through their own launchers or website or pc. Like the EPIC STORE??”

    Image: Epic Games

Apple removed Fortnite from its App Store on Thursday after Epic implemented a new way to purchase V-Bucks — Fortnite’s real-money currency — bypassing Apple’s own payment system. This changes allowed developer Epic Games take the full cut of the profit, when previously, Apple took 30 percent.

Though Fortnite is no longer downloadable through the App Store, it’s still playable. Users that have the game downloaded on their devices can still launch and play the game. Players who previously downloaded Fortnite using their Apple IDs can also pull the game from the App Store by going to purchases and navigating to the “Not on this iPhone” menu. Even lapsed players, who haven’t updated the game recently, can launch it to install new updates.

But it seems players may not be able to update the game in the near future, according to some legal paperwork from Epic:

Rather than tolerate this healthy competition and compete on the merits of its offering, Apple responded by removing Fortnite from sale on the App Store, which means that new users cannot download the app, and users who have already downloaded prior versions of the app from the App Store cannot update it to the latest version. This also means that Fortnite players who downloaded their app from the App Store will not receive updates to Fortnite through the App Store, either automatically or by searching the App Store for the update.

Ok I just bought 2,000 v bucks using the epic discount and the regular Apple price. Both still worked. Apple can still collect fortnite money.

Epic Games clarified this in a followup post on Thursday, saying players will have no issue playing already downloaded content. However, once Chapter 2, Season 4 begins (approximately two weeks from now), iOS players will be unable to access “any new content or the new Battle Pass.”

“Because Apple has BLOCKED your ability to update, when Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 releases you will NOT be able to play the new Season on iOS. Make your voice heard with #FreeFortnite,” Epic said in the announcement.

At the moment, players still have the option to either buy V-Bucks through the iOS App Store, or use Epic’s new, cheaper direct-purchase option. Given the legal battle, it’s possible that may not be the case for long.

Update (Aug. 14): On Aug. 13, Google also removed Fortnite from the Google Play store. But thanks to Android’s open system, users can still play Fortnite and download updates via Epic Games.

Epic has since launched a lawsuit against Google, alongside its suit against Apple.

If you still have Fortnite installed on iOS and Android, can you still play it? What if you’ve never had it installed? Here are your options for playing Fortnite on mobile.

By Lonnie Rad on August 28, 2020 at 2:18PM PDT

Fortnite has been removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple has also deleted Epic’s dev account on the App Store. With the ongoing legal battle still ramping up and Fortnite players lost in the scuffle, it can be hard to tell what this all means for fans who just want to play the game–especially with the recent launch of Season 4. Despite the ban and the lawsuit, it’s still possible for mobile players to access Fortnite in some form. You can still play the game on your phone, under certain conditions, and depending on what type of device you have. Follow the instructions below for more details.

Can You Still Play Fortnite on iOS/iPhone/iPad?

The short answer is: Yes–if you already have it installed. If you already have Fortnite installed on your iOS device, like your iPhone or iPad, you can continue to play it. However, you will be limited to the latest version you have on your phone. The most recent version is update 13.40 from Chapter 2, Season 3. Fortnite players on iOS devices can’t access new content from Season 4, which is live now. You will be able to continue playing the older version, however–just don’t uninstall it.

If you have never downloaded Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad, there is no way to do a fresh install of Fortnite on iOS at this time.

If you have downloaded Fortnite in the past but have uninstalled it, there is no way to recover it either. In a statement issued on August 28, Apple confirmed that it’s proceeded with its plan to terminate Epic’s developer account on the App Store, which it refers to as “the normal process for all accounts” in similar violation of its terms. Prior to this, fans were still able to recover the uninstalled game by accessing “My Purchases,” but this is no longer the case. Attempting to reinstall using this method will now prompt a pop-up that states, “This item is no longer available,” a GameSpot editor verified.

You can read more about Apple’s decision to terminate Epic’s developer privileges on the App Store in our timeline of the Fortnite/Apple legal battle.

Can You Still Play Fortnite on Android Devices?

The short answer is: Yes. While Epic Games has not updated its official FAQ to address Google yet, if you have Fortnite installed on your Android device through Google Play, you should be able to continue playing the current version. You will be restricted to whatever version your phone or tablet has installed, however–you will not be able to update to the new season, access new content, or take part in the new Battle Pass through Google Play.

However, there are more options available on Android than on iOS. You can install, play, and access new content in Fortnite on Android (including Season 4) by installing it directly from Epic Games or via the Samsung Galaxy Store, if you have a Samsung device.

As the feud between Epic, Apple, and Google is still developing, this information is liable to change. We will try to keep it as up-to-date as possible.

Here’s How you can download and install Fortnite on iPhone and iPad after the ban: The removal of the famous MMORPG game – Fortnite from Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store is one of the biggest tech stories of last week. Last week, Epic Games released a new update that brings a new way to buy V-bucks in the game. And the new update uses Epic Game’s own payment system instead of Google and Apple, to cut the 30% in-app purchases fees.

As the new update hits Apple’s App Store, the company kicked-off the app from its app store. Just after a few hours, Google also pulled the app from its Play Store. Though, after the removal from the App Store and Play Store, Epic Games sues both Apple and Google over anti-competitive behavior.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

Since iPhones don’t come with expandable storage, you are stuck with what you get. Jumping a memory tier on an iPhone usually costs a $100, which sometimes makes it hard to justify buying that extra storage. Hence, most of us end up buying the base model. That means, there is a high chance that we will run out of storage in near future. To combat this storage problem, Apple allowed users to offload apps to free up some storage on their devices. In this article, we are going to see how users can offload apps and reinstall them when the need arises. We will also find out why it’s better to offload apps than to permanently delete them. So, if your iPhone is always running out of storage, here is how you can offload apps and reinstall them later on iPhone and iPad.

Why Offloading Apps is Better than Deleting Them

Offloading apps is different from deleting apps in a couple of ways. When a user offloads any app, only the app is deleted, while all the preferences, data, and document is saved on the device itself. On the other hand, deleting an app deletes the apps with all the associated data. At first look, deleting might seem a better option as it frees up more storage. In fact, if you are sure that you are never going to use a particular app in the future, it’s better to delete it.

However, if an app is not being used currently but you might need it in the future, offloading it will not only free up storage but it will also mean that you can reinstall it with all your data intact when you need it. Offloading apps is also a great place to start before you delete an app permanently. If you never feel the need to use an offloaded app, you can permanently delete it to free up more storage. However, you cannot go back and undelete an app to get your data back.

How to Offload Apps on iPhone and iPad

There are two ways to offload apps on iOS devices. You can either set it to automatic which will allow your iPhone to automatically offload apps which you haven’t used in a while, or you can offload them manually. I prefer the second method as it gives me more control, but you can choose whatever option that feels right to you.

    • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad andgo to General → iPhone Storage.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

    • If youwant to automatically offload unused apps, tap on the “Enable” button. When you see a green check mark, it means that the feature has been enabled.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

    • On the other hand, if you want to manually offload apps, look at the list of apps below the automatic offloading option. You will find that the apps are arranged in a descending order with the biggest storage eating culprits at the top.

How to reinstall ‘fortnite’ on your iphone or ipad

However, just because an app is using more storage doesn’t mean it’s not useful. So scroll through the list to see which app you don’t use on a daily basis. If you look closely, there’s a “Last used:” time tag below the apps’ name. If you are not sure about which apps to offload, the timestamps can really help you decide. Once you are decided on the app you want to offload, tap on it, and then tap on the offload button.

    How to Reinstall Offloaded Apps

Apple doesn’t give you a list of the apps that you have offloaded. That said, your offloaded apps remain in the list of apps that we accessed earlier. To reinstall an app, tap on the app’s name and then tap on the “Reinstall” button. The reinstall button will be at the same place where the offload button was before.

Offloading and Reinstalling Apps on iPhone: Final Thoughts

As you can see, it’s pretty easy to offload apps to save storage on your iPhone. I love the fact that I can offload apps to save storage on my iPhone while having access to all my data whenever I want to. If your iPhone or iPad is running low on storage, this is something that you should try. That’s all I have for this article. How to get an invite for Fortnite: Battle Royale for iOS

As of yesterday, PlayStation 4, PC and Mac players can compete against iOS players in CrossPlay. Epic Games published the game in the App Store. However, the whole thing has a catch. You can only enjoy the title on your iPhone or iPad if you have an approved account with Epic Games, as the company is allowing invite-only players during the introductory period. In addition, free memory of around 2 gigabytes is required. In addition, iOS 11 is mandatory. As if these limitations weren’t enough, Fortnite only works on the following devices: iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or newer, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, and iPad (5th Gen, 2017). A constant internet connection is also required.

Here’s how to get a game invite for Fortnite on iPhone

In order to play Fortnite on your iPhone, your Epic Games account must be approved for use. To do this, you can register on the official website. From there, click on “Sign up for email invitation”. You will now be asked if you have already played Fortnite (on another platform). In this case you can log in with your account and you will then also be able to take over your progress and purchases for the iOS version.

If you haven’t played yet and don’t have an account, you can create an account now. You will then be placed on the iOS waiting list. You will also be asked which device you would like to primarily play Fortnite on in the future in order to take over any progress.

As soon as you have received your invitation, you can activate your Epic Games account for Fortnite and then log into the game via the app.

But you can also get an invitation or approval faster. If one of your friends has already received an invite, they can send you an additional code so that you can easily skip the waiting list.
