What is Spotify Wrapped?
Spotify Wrapped is a personalized annual round-up that reveals users’ music habits of the year. The streaming app presents the data in a fun and visual presentation, which can be easily shared on social media. Wrapped tells users their most-listened-to artists, songs, and genres of the year. It even reports how much of a fan they are of a particular artist.
The idea was first launched in 2013 under the name “Year In Review” but was reinvented as “Spotify Wrapped” by 2016 – a much catchier title.
Spotify Wrapped 2023 launched on November 23 after the app stopped tracking data on October 31.
Where to find your 2023 music round-up
To access your music journey:
- Enter the Spotify app and make sure you are on the Home page.
- At the top carousel next to your profile photo, scroll to the end until you see a button that says “Wrapped”.
- Click on the “Wrapped” button
- Select the large widget titled “Your 2023 Wrapped” in the center of the page.
- Enjoy your slideshow of music data.
The feature is available only to subscribers.
How to make your own Spotify Wrapped meme using a template
If you’re slightly embarrassed by your music guilty pleasures, you can make your Wrapped list to share online.
- Visit this Kapwing template
- Double-click on the “artist” and “song” text boxes to change your preferred tracks and musicians.
- Repeat the same process for “Minutes Listened” and “Top Genre” if you wish to change them.
- To insert your top artist photo, search for a high-quality image of the celebrity in Google Images.
- Download the photo to your computer.
- On the Kapwing template, click on the Upload icon found at the top horizontal bar. The symbol should be an arrow pointing upward with a half square beneath it.
- Select “Click to upload” and choose your desired image.
- Click “Open”.
- Adjust the image size by clicking on the blue circles in the corners.
- Select “Export project” to save the design as an image.
