How to Level Up Fast in FFXIV Island Sanctuary

Leveling up Island Sanctuary ranks grants new features in Final Fantasy XIV. At first, players will be gathering by hand. But at max rank, one will have several advanced tools and an army of Mammet constructs to automate production.

Island Sanctuary has many new cosmetic items, including a new unique Glamour and mount. Even those not interested in aesthetics can find a use for leveling up. Both Seafarer and Island Cowries can be used to purchase Final Fantasy XIV Materia and turn a profit towards combat items.

Island Sanctuary is meant to be a slow and relaxing experience in Final Fantasy XIV. However, even when utilizing means of amassing experience, the process to rank 10 will still take days due to progression blockers. Still, a few days are shorter than the intended weeks or months.

Prioritize Making Tools

As players advance in Final Fantasy XIV Sanctuary rank, they will have access to additional tool creation. One should make these immediately, as they grant access to new gathering sources. For example, rocks that may be previously unmarked might suddenly now yield copper or limestone. Additionally, some tools will also yield additional resources. For example, a scythe might harvest sugarcane along with the original vines.

Conserve Seafarer’s Cowries

Seafarer’s Cowries are the main day-to-day currency on Island Sanctuary. While there is initially an option to spend them on clothes, minions, mounts, and other Final Fantasy XIV cosmetics, this can result in delays in expansion. This is due to Cowries being the currency paid out to Mammet workers around the island. Therefore, it is good to always maintain a balance of at least 2000 Cowries so that Mammets can be hired to construct, craft, and do other odd jobs.

Construct Buildings

Finishing a new building gives some of the largest lump sums of experience points, leading to quick Final Fantasy XIV rank level-ups. Every vacant lot should be worked on straight away, as construction takes real time – between 3 to 12 hours, depending on building type. A building being physically completed isn’t enough; once construction is finished, players will need to examine the building’s signpost and watch a cutscene to gain the experience points reward.

Clear Out Terrain

At first, players will only have two lots to make buildings, but more can be accessed by ordering Final Fantasy XIV’s Mammets to destroy blockages like boulders or dense trees. Pathological Pathfinders around the island will request tools and a set amount of Cowries to undertake the job. Thankfully, they will instantly complete the task, reward thousands of experience points, and have new lots for Workshops or Landmarks.

Produce at Workshops

Workshops can use unwanted materials to create and ship goods to the rest of Eorzea. All shipped goods grant passive experience points and free Cowries. Each workshop can work 24 hours a day, five days a week – resetting at the same time as Final Fantasy XIV weekly Tomestone caps at 00:01 Tuesday Pacific Time. Speak to the Tactful Taskmaster to set up each Workshop’s weekly work and vacation schedule.

The Taskmaster also has a Supply and Demand tab. This shows which goods have been produced over the last week and affect what the community wants in the subsequent week. Crafting goods in FFXIV in low supply and high demand will yield even more bonus experience points and Cowries.

Send Granary Expeditions

With a Granary, Mammets can be sent to find materials on their own and even grant some experience points for their efforts. Talk to the Excitable Explore,r, and he can manage each Granary’s schedule. These teams can forage in one of five Final Fantasy XIV locations, each with different possible materials. Of course, they will need to be paid with Crowies in advance. For most efficiency and bonus experience points in Final Fantasy XIV, one will want to send them out for seven days.
