How to beat rule 24 of the Password Game
It’s taken the internet by storm but one rule in particular is causing most to lose the game. Here’s how to beat rule 24 of the password game so you stand a chance of winning the whole thing.
Creating a password with special characters, numbers and more is frustrating enough. Now, someone has taken that concept and pushed it to the extreme with a new game. Addictive and infuriating, it poses near-impossible puzzles to make the ultimate password.
The password game is made up of 35 rules, but some are significantly harder than others. One that’s catching most players our is rule 24 and pesky, pesky Paul.
What is rule 24?
Rule 24 of the password game will ask you to include the URL of a YouTube video. Sounds easy enough? Ha, absolutely not.
Players will need to find the URL of a video that is a specific length, for example, 14 minutes and 11 seconds. What’s even worse is that it isn’t the same length for everyone, so the duration will be randomized for each person playing.
So, the premise is that you’ll need to search through the video platform for hours and hours to find one that’s the exact length. The even trickier part is that videos aren’t always the exact length it says in a thumbnail, with them typically being a few seconds shorter. That means they won’t count; it has to be the exact length.
If that’s not tricky enough, you also have Paul the chicken to deal with, who needs feeding. If you forget or overfeed him, then it’s game over.
And just to add to it, to pass the level the URL also has to follow all the previous rules in place.
Yeah, people are playing this game for ‘fun.’
How to beat rule 24 of the password game
Though we can’t give you an exact video for each duration the games generate, there are a few things you can do to help you get past the level.
First, let’s deal with Paul. Now, the little chicken comes with rule 23 and it’s now your job to feed him. Paul eats 3 worms per minute; any more or any less and you’ll have to start from the beginning.
We suggest keeping YouTube and the password game tab next to one another and, on the minute, copying and pasting three worm emojis for Paul to eat. It’s up to you to remember to do it, but you can set a timer to remind you so you don’t forget.
Secondly, finding the video. It seems like an impossible task, and it almost is, but there is a way of doing it. Instead of trolling through the whole site, search for ‘speed through’ and then the duration you’ve been given. There are thousands, if not millions of speed-through gaming videos on YouTube, so you’re bound to find one with that length.
You can always search for one a little bit shorter to account for the extra seconds that will be added. Unfortunately, it’s going to be a real pain, but this is the easiest way to beat rule 24 of the password game.
And once you’ve finally found a video, pasted it, and kept Paul alive, it’s time to amend the URL and it would have broken a lot of previous rules.
*Sigh*
Go through and make vowels bold, other symbols capitals, etc. Nobody said this game was going to be quick.
Players react to finally beating the game
When you’re playing it, you might think that nobody has been able to beat the game. Well, you better believe that some people have done just that and they’ve been *pretty* elated about it on Twitter.
The question now is if you can join these elite few.
Honestly, that password looks like a mess, but if it works, then it works.
Though they’ve called it a “very fun game,” we know a few people that would disagree.
The sense of achievement must be unmatched when beating the password game. We hope it was worth it!
Legend has it that this person is still screaming about their win to this day…
Do you think you’ve got what it tasks to not only get past rule 24 of the password game but to actually beat it?
You have to post your results on social media if you do, otherwise, it definitely didn’t happen.
