How to be the coolest girl at a house party
1. Follow any thematic guidelines provided by the people throwing the party — nobody likes someone who shows up empty-handed or out-of-costume. If it’s BYOB, bring your own beer. If it’s a toga party, wear a toga. If it’s a search party, bring a flash light and tempered expectations.
2. Everyone knows that if you go to prison, you need to show everyone you’re tough and can take care of yourself right off the bat. Usually this is done by beating up the first guy who messes with you. Well, being cool at a party works the same way — you need to show how cool you are as soon as you walk in the door. One method is to show up already wasted, like “Who needs a party? I’m cool drug-addicted guy!” Another is to walk up to the coolest person already at the party and just do a really elaborate magic trick. WARNING: Do not combine these two strategies. Drunken magic, while cool, can be very dangerous.
3. Don’t start conversations with, “A/S/L?”
4. Don’t bring your mom. Like, don’t even let her wait in the car. But if you do, take my advice and remember to roll the windows down.
5. You know how you usually feel like sobbing during social gatherings because you feel so unmistakably alone? How you are inescapably struck by the futility of meaningful human connection? Uh, well, try not to feel that way anymore.
6. Bring a bottle of liquor and invite everyone to take shots with you. If you really want to be cool, don’t even charge them full price.
7. Show up with a D-list celebrity. You could probably rent Alicia Silverstone or the lead singer of Smash Mouth for like $50 a night on Craigslist.
8. Try not to grunt as much as usual.
9. Bring a friend that’s a minority of some sort. This shows that you’re really worldly and have a diverse group of friends. Also, the rarer the minority the better, so if you show up with like an Eskimo or something, you’re definitely getting laid. Only bring one minority friend though — what kind of party do you think this is?
10. Try not to draw any vivid parallels between the way people at a party carnally flaunt their bodies for the approval and gratification of others with the way that meat is evaluated and packaged at a meat-processing facility.
11. Stand immediately outside a circle of good looking people having an engaging conversation rife with in-jokes. Listen long enough to craft your own joke about someone they’ve been talking about, or an experience that they’ve all shared. Use this as your opening, and then stand amidst their group with a pained, contorted facial expression for about 20 to 30 seconds.
12. Make plenty of topical references (i.e. a casual remark about the latest Rush Hour film).
13. Become really good at a drinking game that everyone else is playing. Unless the game is called “Hide in the Attic.” Then they’ve tricked you again.
14. Go outside occasionally to smoke a cigarette. It’s a good way to make friends, it makes you look cool, and you’re already dead on the inside, anyway.
15. Pick the drunkest person there and make out with them, but make sure that the person you actually want to make out with sees it. Try to ignore the fact that the other person is only making out with you because you’re the 2nd drunkest person there and they’re also trying to get the attention of someone else. Also, they just puked in your mouth a little.
16. Just be louder than everyone else.

Whether you are an entrepreneur with a new cosmetics line, a makeup artist who wants to advertise your services or a beauty buff with the desire to share your glamorous finds with your friends, you can accomplish your goals with the help of a makeup party. If this is your first time organizing such an event and it is vital to promote your business, keep the number of guests to 10 or 15. If you need to, simply throw another party within the next two weeks or the following month. In the meantime, always be a gracious hostess and never underestimate the power of word of mouth.
Things You’ll Need
Cosmetics for display and sample purposes
Comfortable and clean venue
Chair for makeovers
Party favors or goody bags with samples
Step 1
Begin sending out invitations for the event about a month prior. You may get the word out via electronic means–such as e-mail–or in the old-fashioned style of handing or mailing paper invitations to friends and acquaintances. Design or purchase invitations to match or complement the theme of the party. Inexpensive ones can be found at dollar stores everywhere. Invite more people than you expect to show up; for instance, hand invitations to 20 potential guests if you are aiming for an attendance of 10 to 15.
Step 2
Order the products you will need in more than enough time before the party. If you will be selling makeup, it is especially important that your display items are new or at least barely used so that they appear attractive to potential customers.
Step 3
Welcome guests on the day of the party with a clean venue–whether at a private home or in a rented room–and light refreshments. You don’t need extravagant decorations and food. What matters is that your guests feel comfortable and have drinks to quench their thirst as well as snacks. To create a hip, upbeat ambiance, blast lively tunes from a boom box or laptop.
Step 4
Have at least one table on which to display the makeup. You can use a big table that everyone can swarm around as they sample the products or a small one to hold your paraphernalia if you are doing makeovers. For the second option, you also need a chair for your models. Make sure that it is at a height that allows you to apply makeup without standing on tiptoe or bending over excessively.
Step 5
Give everybody a goody bag filled with samples and brochures before they leave. If you are not selling makeup and are throwing a beauty party simply to give your girlfriends a good time, you can present attendees with a small token or party favor instead. Fitting examples would be a mini-lip gloss on a key chain or a pouch of your favorite cosmetics in demo sizes.
Send out reminders two to three days before the event. You’d be surprised at how easily people can forget about a commitment, as well as how easily they can commit the closer you are to the actual party date. Remember to enjoy yourself–you don’t want guests associating your brand or your services with dourness. You want them to feel like they can count on you for a pleasurable experience.

We have boy/girl twins who were turning eight and wanted a party that would accommodate all their friends and ideas. So, we took the book series “The Magic Tree House” that all the kids are reading and used this as inspiration. It was a rainy day, so we had to stay indoors.
Making the Magic Tree House
We made a “Magic Tree house” in the garage. We had a fan and strobe light to blink as they traveled to each different time warp. Then, the kids were given a backpack to collect their loot. We started with Dinosaurs Before Dark book, where the kids had to pop the dinosaur egg (balloon) filled with a baby. When they found the baby, a prize was awarded.
Back to the magic treehouse, the winds blew and out they came to Hour of Olympics where they had the javelin toss (straws) and the chariot race (wheelbarrow races with kids). Prizes were Olympic medals.
Back to the magic treehouse, winds blew and they arrived at Stagefright on Summernight. The birthday kids were the king and queen and the guests donned the jester’s hat and had to make them giggle! The prize was a crown jewel – ring pop.
Back to the magic tree house, winds blew etc and returned to High Tide on Hawaii. We played musical islands (musical chairs).
Back to the final magic tree house adventure; Vacation under the Volcano. This was time for our volcanic birthday cake and the regular party fun! It turned out so cute and the kids all had a blast!!

Your child’s birthday is one of their most special days. As parents, we want our kid birthday parties to be the most memorable for our child, while we can also enjoy the moment and take an active part in creating it.
But how?! Where do we even begin? How do we throw a birthday party that’s so special without having to throw away so much money?! And if we don’t pay for entertainer or a special venue, how will we entertain the kids without losing our minds? How will we decorate? What will they eat? All these questions and so many more immediately spring up.
First thing to do is set a date for the party. Now breathe :-).
Here, on this site, together with our community of creative Moms and Dads, we’ll help you answer all of those questions. All you need to do (after setting the date as far in advance as possible) is decide together with your child what sort of birthday party you want to throw.
It can be a theme party based on a certain character, book, TV show, idea, concept or anything else your child comes up with. Or, it can be a birthday party without a specific theme. You wanna have some friends over to your place this summer for a sleepover, but you certainly don’t want it to be some lame party hosted by your mom. So, what do you need to make this the slumber party of the century? Kidzworld’s got your guide to planning the coolest sleepover ever.
The Pre-Planning Stage
First thing you need to take care of when planning a slumber party is to decide who’s going to be invited. While a movie night with just your best bud can be fun, a real kickin’ sleepover requires at least a few peeps. Try to aim for between four and six people (including yourself). Once you’ve made your list of guests, hit the mall to grab some funky invitations – if you have time, you should try to make them from scratch with a little construction paper, felt markers, sparkles and glue.
*Note: Remember to remind your guests to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow to the party!
Getting Prepared
Once your guests have been invited, it’s time for you to start preparing for the big shin-dig. Talk to the ‘rents about getting snacks – stock up on finger foods like chips, veggies and dip, popcorn, five-cent candies – whatever you think you and your pals will want. Make sure you have a bunch of great tunes ready to go, even if that means throwing together your own sleepover compilation. You’ll probably want to rent a couple videos, even if watching movies isn’t going to be the main event of the party, its good to throw in a flick just before everyone is getting ready to go to sleep.
Games and Activities
The point of a sleepover is to get all your pals together to have as much fun as possible. Plan at least three to four activities that you can all do throughout the evening to ensure that no one is going to get bored. You can give each other make-overs, play truth or dare or take an idea from the Sleepover moive and plan a scavenger hunt! Of course, if a scavenger hunt ends up being one of your sleepover activities, make sure that your ‘rents know about it – no sneaking out of the house like the girls in the movie!
An Outdoor Adventure
If you wanna kick your party up a notch, why not plan to sleep outside? A tree house is the perfect place to host an outdoor slumber party, but if you don’t have one, a tent in the back yard, or even on your deck works just the same. Once you’re all settled in your sleeping bags, get your friends to take turns telling ghost stories! And don’t forget to bring a flashlight – after some of those stories, you’ll need ’em!
Over the years I have thrown dozens of kids birthday parties, using all different kinds of themes. Most of the time my husband and I are the ones leading the guests through the activities, but depending on the party- sometimes we’ll hire someone to bring in animals or entertain the kids for us. At-home parties don’t need to be over-the-top-professional-photography-worthy affairs- they are meant to be homemade, simple, and fun for you as well as for your child. So if you are looking for a fun at-home birthday party for your little princess- here are 12 Awesome Birthday Party Ideas for Girls!
I am such a huge fan of the at-home birthday party. I love creating magical days of fun for my kids and their friends that are easy to pull together, don’t cost a lot of money, and create the kind of memories that my kids will look back on fondly on when they are all grown up with kids of their own.
When you have a birthday party at home- you are free to invite more kids because you aren’t shelling out $25 apiece per guest. So it’s easy to include all of the girls in the class vs. having to narrow it down to just six girls and risk someone feeling left out.

I hope that you enjoyed these birthday party ideas for girls!
You need to see this email, sent by the best man.
I got this months ago. Read it. Appreciate it. You have to love the sense of mystery, style, and adventure. Also, and maybe best of all, you have to love the fact that everything is taken care of and planned. No group decisions. No chaos-by-committee. This guy isn’t fu$king around. The bachelor party itself? I just got back. Still processing. Still dazed. Still blown away. I’ve been to many, many, many bachelor parties in my day. They’re almost all for lifelong-best-friends, so I don’t want to make a Sophie’s Choice and say which one is “best.” I love hanging out with my friends, period, regardless of context. But in terms of sheer originality, adrenaline, audacity, bucket-list-items-checked-off, and wow-factor, this one takes the cake.
If you are reading this email, it is because you are invited, along with a privileged few, for the premiere event of 2010. On April 16th, Tom will be having his one-and-only Bachelor party, in anticipation for his marriage/funeral, yada yada, yada. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Rob and as Tom’s best man, I’ve been put in charge of organizing his bachelor party and believe me when I tell you it’s gonna be amazing. Here’s what you need to know.
Number 1: Space is Limited
Due to the uniqueness of this bachelor party, only eight of Tom’s close friends will be able to attend. And because there’s no way for him to fairly select eight friends, it is on a first-to-confirm basis. Of course he wants all of you to attend, but he especially wants those of you who REALLY want to attend. So here’s what else you need to know in order to make your decision.
Number 2: Attendance is All or Nothing
The bachelor party will begin the Friday afternoon of April 16th and end the evening of April 18th. There will be no late admittance, or joining midway, or leaving midway. Attendance is all or nothing.
Number 3: $425 Covers Everything
There is a fee of $425. This will cover EVERYTHING for the weekend. Tom doesn’t want cost to be a factor in your decision, and frankly if you can’t raise $425 in 4 months, he’ll understand. There is one exemption to the $425 cost. If you are flying in from out of state, your $425 fee is waived and you can put it towards the cost of your plane ticket.
Number 4: 5 Star Hotel Not Included
The weekend will begin and end in Los Angeles, and in the spirit of the element of surprise, that’s pretty much all I’m going to tell you for now. I will say that this weekend would be classified as an “Outdoors” type weekend. No, it’s not camping, but it’s not a 5-star hotel either. If you’re not a fan of the elements, Tom will understand.
Number 5: You’re Either In or You’re Out
Once you confirm, and I’ve received your check for $425, I can give you more details about what you’ll want to bring, and any travel arrangements you may need to make. Finally, there is one rule we will all have to abide by during the weekend: This is Tom’s Bachelor party and therefore it’s all about him. If you have any hesitation about that, or if you don’t think you’ll be able to commit 100%, Tom will understand. But once you commit, you commit to the whole 9 yards.
If you can agree to all the conditions above, please let me know immediately. Reply to this email as soon as you’ve made a decision either way. Remember, it’s a first-to-reply booking. New Flash! Summer is just around the corner! With kids being out of schools and other commitments winding down you might find yourself with a little more free time (or your kids will anyway). And since they no longer have to be up at the crack of dawn to get off to school, now is the perfect time to plan a sleepover for them and their friends. But what what are they going to do? You don’t want them staying up all night just watching T.V. You need a plan. And we’re here to help. We’ve discovered 17 fun sleepover ideas that will have the guest saying it’s the best slumber party they’ve ever been to. By the way, have you ever been to a sleep over that doesn’t serve food? Neither have we. Check out our post on party appetizers to make sure you have all your bases covered.
Sleepover Party Ideas for an Epic Slumber Party
Make crayon lipstick with your kids’ old broken crayons. You’ll be able to make lots of fun colors for mere pennies. And don’t worry about the wax being too hot. This technique uses a candle warmer to melt the crayons, so it’s warm, but not hot.
Kool-Aid lip gloss is another great idea (and tasty, too!).
Here’s a genius idea on turning your outdoor cushions to sleepover mats to add extra sleeping space.
Provide each guest with her own individual mini cereal box. Make necklaces with the cereal, or just enjoy it for breakfast the next morning.
No boy sleepover is complete without a pillow fort. The bigger the better, so break out all the pillows, cushions and blankets you can find!
Of course the kiddos will be watching a few movies, so set up the perfect diy popcorn bar for movie night. M&Ms, chocolate, gummy bears and more all make terrific popcorn add-ins.
Girls will love “Spin the Nail Polish Bottle.” Whichever color the bottle lands on, you must paint one toenail that color. The game is complete all 10 toes on all the guests have been painted. What a fun idea!
Keep the activities a surprise until it’s time to do them. Put each activity in a balloon to be popped at the specific time that’s written on it.
Play a game of glow in the dark bowling. Add different colored glow sticks to each water bottle for a colorful glowy effect. Add some glitter to make them sparkly!
Set up tents over each child’s sleeping space, and add twinkle lights up above to mimic stars. Or, if the weather is just right, head outdoors for your sleepover, and enjoy the real thing!
Make personalized pillow cases as a memento from the party!
Personalized sleeping masks are another fun idea.
Kids love being in photos, so a diy photo booth with lots of fun props will be a total hit at your sleepover!
If your little girls are obsessed with fairies, make these super simple fairy wands with glue, sticks and glitter. They’re surprisingly easy to make!
Write funny or interesting questions on a beach ball to create this Toss and Talk game.
Provide each guest a pair of matching or coordinating pajamas. You can either deliver them before the party or just have everyone change into their jammies as they arrive.
Set up a laser maze for the kids to go through in the hallway.
Help your child make some fun memories with their friends this summer but planning the perfect sleepover. You may not win an award, but seeing the joy on your child’s face as they experience something new and fun will bring more satisfaction than any award ever could.

So… you are planning a teen party. It may be for a special occasion such as a birthday or sweet sixteen, to celebrate a homecoming, graduation or just to gather a group of friends for a fantastic evening. What do you need to know to make it fun and safe?
What’s the Occasion?
There are lots of great occasions for which you may want to throw a party. Some of the most popular teen party events include:
- Birthdays
- End of the school year
- Back to school
- Team parties, to celebrate the end or beginning of a sports or club season
- After dance or game parties

While your occasion may affect the type of food and decorations you select, the basics of planning your party will stay the same.
Finding a Cool Teen Party Theme
A theme can help tie the different elements of your party together, and be a fun way for everyone to step out of their everyday lives. The party theme can be articulated in the decorations, food and activities that you have at your party. These are some of the most popular teen party themes at the moment:
- Retro Chic Party : Pick a bygone era and use it to style your party. Rummage in your folks’ closets for attire for a Groovy Seventies party, run Brady Bunch episodes in the background, don headbands and valley girl minis for an Eighties Bash or get historical with a roaring twenties bash.
- Luau Party: The luau may be a classic, but it is a perennial for a reason. Who wouldn’t enjoy leaving homework and stress behind for a night in a tropical paradise. Make sure you include a limbo contest to get things rolling.
- Silver Screen Party: Looking for a party idea for drama club or for your Oscar night get-together? Take your teen party inspiration straight from the silver screen. You can pick a particular movie, a genre, a director or leave it wide open. Imagine a party themed after your favorite Anime flick or all of your friends playing croquet in honor of Heathers.
- American Idol Party: Rent a karaoke machine and have your own American Idol contest with your friends. When the final votes are in, your party will be the winner.
- Fear Factor Party: You don’t have to make your friends eat fried worms to have a fear factor party. Use jello to make unappealing but harmless snacks, make some innocuous slime for people to stick their hands and decorate with rubber snakes and fake rodents.
If you’re inviting all girls for a birthday or slumber party, consider these favorite teen themes:
- Salon Night Party: Spend the evening experimenting with hairstyles, makeup and glamour! If you have the budget, consider hiring a cosmetics or nail care professional to come and help!
- Jewelry Glam Party: Stock up on jewelry making supplies and invite your friends for an evening of beading.
Location, Time and Date
Teen Parties at Home
It is important to decide where you are going to have your party. You can hold small parties in most homes. Homes with bonus rooms or recreation rooms are often well-suited to partying, so ask around if your group is looking for a spot. If your home has fragile or valuable items in your party room, consider putting them away before you have your event to ensure they are safe from breakage or damage. If a teen group is throwing the party, make sure you share the responsibilities so that the host does not end up doing all the preparation and cleanup.
Large Party Locations
If you want to have a larger party, look into having it outdoors in someone’s yard, in a park, in a community center or other event space. Many towns will allow you to reserve park shelters or community rooms for parties for a very small fee; however make sure you find out their restrictions on group size and what kinds of food and beverages can be served.
When to Have Your Party
When you are planning your teen party, if there is a guest of honor (such as the birthday guy or girl), make sure you pick a time or date that accommodates your guest. While most parties are held in the evening, you can throw a great party at any time of day. Invite a group of girl friends for a birthday breakfast, for a party that is not your run-of-the-mill gathering. Celebrating the winning season of your sports team? Meet in the park for a mid-day picnic with Frisbee and other active leisure sports. If you are having a nighttime party, include the time your party will be over so that everyone’s expectations are set when they receive the invitation.
Invitations and Guest List
One of the most difficult decisions for teen party planning is who to invite. If you want to keep your gathering small, stick to your closest friends. Of course, if you are having a co-ed party, remember that your friends are likely to bring dates, so you could end up with twice the number of people you invited!
If your party is for a specific group, such as a team or squad, make sure you get an invitation to everyone involved. Never, ever post an invitation in a public place such as a forum or bulletin board; while your goal might be a big party, you do not want to invite people unknown to you into your space!
Teen Party Food and Drinks
The food and beverages for teen parties can be pretty simple. Stock up on lots of soda and snacks. If you want to serve something more substantial, pizza, hot dogs, burgers or chicken strips are always popular. While teens may not be jonesing for an array of salads, do offer some raw veggies and cut up fruit for those who are into healthful eating.
In addition to soda, provide lots of bottled water to keep everyone hydrated, especially if you are dancing or doing other strenuous activities.
The most important thing when you are planning a teen party is to be creative. If you enjoy an activity or theme, your friends probably will, too. You don’t have to have a large budget or live in a mansion to put together a cool gathering your friends are sure to remember.
Looking out for birthday party ideas for 12 year olds? Well, here are some great party ideas and themes to thrill your little tween. They include ideas for both boys and girls, so you have an idea of how to go about it, either way.
Looking out for birthday party ideas for 12 year olds? Well, here are some great party ideas and themes to thrill your little tween. They include ideas for both boys and girls, so you have an idea of how to go about it, either way.
So, the period that lies in between, has finally arrived when your 11-year-old crosses the threshold of childhood to enter the period where he or she is just shy of the teenage years. No wonder planning for the birthday bash is taking so much toll on you. Although she may have long outgrown the Sesame Street birthday bash, a teen coed party may also not quite sound that good. Don’t worry, planning your 12-year-old child’s party may not really be that difficult.
Birthday Party Ideas for Girls
Slumber Parties: For 12-year-old girls, you can organize some fun slumber parties. These much-loved sleepover parties include party games, crafts, and adorable sleepover party supplies. For organizing a slumber party, you would need to fill the party room with pillows, blankets, bean bag chairs, and stuffed animals. Decorate the space with twinkling lights and scatter balloons all over. For the party invitations, you can create little pillows with foam inside. As the guests start to come in, hand them small flashlights and brightly decorated slipper socks. To make your party a fun event, you can organize party games such as pillow case obstacle race. The food for sleepover parties should be simple and should basically include a host of munchies. Veggies and dip, soda, chips, and juice are a good choice for the party food.
Would you like to write for us? Well, we’re looking for good writers who want to spread the word. Get in touch with us and we’ll talk.
Spa Party: Treat your little guests to a lavish spa makeover with this great party theme. You can create the birthday party invitations on parchment paper or just tie special candles and soaps with ribbons and add a tag to announce the party. For the decorations, you would need lots of candles to create a soothing and tranquil lighting for the party. Set up small seating areas with tables where a display of cosmetics and other makeup instruments. At your spa birthday party, treat your little fashionistas with creamy dips for the vegetables, whipped yogurt, and chocolate fondue. As for the party activities, you can let the girls have fun with massages, facials, manicures, or pedicures for their friends.
Birthday Party Ideas for Boys
Camping Party: Most boys love the idea of roughing it out and going for fun activities like camping, trekking, and hiking. A birthday party with this theme can be loads of fun. For the decorations, you can set up a huge tent in your backyard. For the food, you can have hotdogs, hamburgers, and roasted marshmallows. The boys can tell each other campfire ghost stories and play the usual campfire games. For the party favors, you can tie up a mini flashlight, a glow stick, and a little ziptop bag of gorp in a bandanna. Believe me, whether held indoors or outdoors, this campfire party is a surefire hit with your son.
Sports Party: Hosting a birthday party with a sports theme for twelve-year-old boys can be real fun, especially if your 12-year-old is a sports fanatic. Decorate the party room with colors that match your child’s favorite sport or sports team. You can use streamers and balloons to decorate the space. You can also add sports figure posters to the walls. For the party games, organize fun games like long jumps and balloon volleyball. The sports party favors include stickers of the favorite players, colorful candy, baseball gumballs, fruit snacks, baseball cards, wristbands, or power bars.
It is best to consult your kid while planning the big bash. After all, it is her or his special day and you want to do something that will please them. So include your 12-year-old in the planning and have loads of fun organizing the birthday bash that they will remember for life.
Planning a party for a group of teens? Need some prom after-party ideas? Your event will be way more fun if there’s more to do than just standing around eating snacks and trying to think of things to say. Dress up to look and feel your best, and when everyone arrives, break out one of these fun teenage party games. They’re a great way to break the ice, make your party memorable, and get everyone involved in the fun.
The Mummy
Break into groups of two or three. Each group gets a roll of toilet paper and picks one person to be the mummy. When the clock starts, all the teams have to wrap their mummies using the whole roll of toilet paper. Two teams win: The one rolls up their mummy the fastest, and the team with the most creative mummy.
I Never
Have everyone sit in a circle, and give each person 20 pieces of candy. Going around the circle, each person names something she has never done. For instance, “I’ve never been to Europe” or “I’ve never stayed up all night.” After every statement, anyone who has done that thing eats a piece of candy. Whoever eats all their candy first is the winner.
Eat the Doughnut
Thread a thick piece of string through doughnuts (one for every two people), and hang the string between two trees. Break off into boy/girl pairs, and see which pair can eat their doughnuts first without using their hands or arms. If the doughnut falls on the ground, the corresponding team is eliminated.
Musical Chairs
Yes, it’s the same musical chairs from when you were a kid, but it can be even more fun now that you’re older. Create a song playlist and have one person control the music’s starting and stopping (using a different song each time). For a flirty twist, add a rule: As long as you’re on a chair with your feet off the ground when the music stops, you’re safe. This will encourage a whole lot of lap-sitting.
Baby, Do You Love Me?
Sit in a circle and designate one person as “It.” “It” picks someone in the circle, sits on his lap and says, “Baby, if you love me, smile.” The other person has to respond, “I love you, baby, but I just can’t smile!” If he cracks a smile when he says it, he becomes “It.” If he doesn’t smile, the person in the center has to pick a new lap to sit on and try again.
Freeze Dance
Make a party playlist that’s fun to dance to. As with musical chairs, choose one person to be in charge of the music. Everyone dances while the music’s playing. When the music shuts off, anyone who doesn’t freeze in place is eliminated. The winner is the person who lasts on the dance floor the longest.
Lap Chain
This is another flirty circle game. Stand up in a circle and have everyone turn to face the right. Then squeeze in, making the circle smaller and smaller, till everyone’s close enough to slowly start sitting on each other’s laps. The goal is to have everyone sitting down without the chain collapsing and everyone falling.
Encore
Prepare game cards with words that are common in songs, like, “rain,” “stay,” and “hand” (or just buy the official board game version.) Break the party into two teams. Flip over a card and show everyone what it says. Each team takes turns singing songs that have that word somewhere in the lyrics. When one of the teams can’t come up with a song after 30 seconds, they lose the round, and the other team is awarded a point. The first team to earn 10 points wins.
Two Truths and a Lie
This game is good for playing with people you don’t know that well. Everyone takes a turn saying three statements about themselves: two that are true, and one that’s a lie. The rest of the group has to guess which one’s the lie.
Human Pretzel
Everyone stands in a circle and holds out both of your hands. Each person links both his hands to other hands (of anyone except for either person standing next to him). Once everybody’s thoroughly tangled, try to untwist yourselves into a circle without letting go of anyone’s hand.
Twister
Twister’s a classic party game that always ends in giggles. Buy it or make your own mega-board out of an old bed sheet and markers or construction-paper circles. The bigger your homemade board, the more people can play at once.
Name That Tune
Build a music playlist with songs that your friends have probably heard before. Start playing a song (either at the beginning or the middle), and call on whoever raises a hand fastest to guess the name of the song. If she guesses right, she gets a point; if she guesses wrong, she loses a point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins.
Trade Up
Break up into teams of three or four, and give each team a pencil. The goal is to go “door-to-door” and try to trade up your object for something better. For example, if someone trades you an old Barbie doll for your pencil, see if you can trade the Barbie doll for something even better. After an hour, all teams meet back up and see who ended up with the coolest item.
Freeze Improv
This is an improv game that’s more fun when your party’s made up of creative people who like to ham it up. Two people get up on “stage,” and the rest of the group shouts out a situation (for example, “buying a puppy”) and a relationship (like, “husband and wife”) that they have to improvise a scene around.
At any time, someone from the audience can yell, “Freeze!” and both performers have to freeze in place. Then, the one who yelled “freeze!” taps one of the performers on the shoulder, replaces him, and starts a new scene, based on a new situation that they all make up. The game keeps going until everyone has a turn on stage.
Suck and Blow
The name of this game makes it sound a lot dirtier than it is (though the game is still a little dirty.) Stand in a circle and pass a playing card around the circle using only your mouths, so the person with the card on their mouth has to “blow” it onto the next person’s mouth as that person “sucks” it in. If the card drops, both people are eliminated.
The beach party is an ideal theme for teenagers who enjoy just hanging around with their friends under the sun. If you live near a beach and want to hold your party there, be sure to obtain the proper permits and have plenty of adult supervision. If the beach is not an option, host the party in your backyard. With some planning and beach-themed decorations and supplies, a pool party can be transformed into a cool teen beach party.
Visit the party supply store or shop online for beach party items. Purchase beach-themed invitations, beach balls, inflatable palm trees, tiki torches, water balloons, beach-themed tableware and miniature drink umbrellas. Shop in the discount stores for beach towels, beach umbrellas, sunglasses and flip flops, you will need one of each of these per party guest.
Send out the invitations and indicate that guests are to wear bathing suits or beach attire.
Set up beach towels and umbrellas all around the party area. Combine with beach chairs and patio chairs for plenty of seating.
Create a backyard beach scape for those who don’t live near the water. Purchase a few kid’s sandboxes and inflatable pools. Arrange in a low traffic area and fill some with water and some with sand. Decorate the sandboxes with seashells and sand castles. Float beach balls in the pools. Hang beach towels or paint a beach mural on cardboard and hang it up behind the water and sand pools. Inflate palm trees and add to your beach scape.
Toss several beach balls in the pool and around the party area.
Set up tiki torches safely around perimeter of party, out of reach of party guests or flammable decorations.
Fill beach buckets with sunglasses, flip flops, sunscreen, and rolled up beach towels or t-shirts. Give to guests as they arrive for a party favor they can use at the party.
Play classic beach games of Frisbee and volleyball. Start a water balloon fight. Hold a beach dance contest, sand castle contest or limbo contest.
Serve barbecue food such as hot dogs and hamburgers. Create a mock bonfire with a backyard fire bowl and let guests roast their own hot dogs and marshmallows. Use clams and other seafood to create a clambake on the grill. Serve non-alcoholic beverages in cocktail glasses with miniature paper umbrellas.
Set up an area for guests to have their photo taken. Have them stand on a surfboard and give their best surfing pose. Print and send the pictures as keepsakes along with the thank-you notes.
A birthday party amuses the celebrant and guests. When gathering boys and girls for a birthday party, plan for activities and an atmosphere to welcome and engage both genders. Invite preteen or teen boys and girls to a birthday party they will enjoy without lapsing into discomfort. Revolve the event around shared interests. Movies, outdoor activities and costume parties provide starting points for an entertaining party. Let your imagination run free to add custom touches that will keep guests interested and talking for weeks.
Movie Marathon Birthday Party
Most boys and girls enjoy movies. Arrange for an all-day movie marathon birthday party for teens or tweens. Ask the birthday girl or boy for a list of favorite—and appropriate—movies available on DVD. Suggestions for movies include “Never Been Kissed,” “Grease” and “Marley and Me.” Invite the celebrant’s input for invitations and menu. Order invitations printed to look like movie tickets. Rent or collect from friends a few movies. Show the movies on a big screen. Rent a large screen TV if you don’t have one. Serve pizza, soft drinks, popcorn and chips. Create a stir mid-way through the marathon and present the birthday kid with ice cream, cake and gifts.
Amusement Park Picnic
Throw a birthday party for older girls and boys—at least 10 years old—or tweens at a local amusement park. Combine park activities with a birthday party picnic for a small group to keep cost and oversight manageable. Meet guests at a prearranged spot or at your home. Have iced sodas, water, sub-sandwiches, fried chicken, potato salad, chips, pickles and watermelon for lunch. Announce on invitations that you will serve birthday cake and ice cream after the park visit at home. Let invitees know that the park activities will last a preset time period, such as two hours plus lunch. Do a head count going into and leaving the park. If you do not live near a small amusement park, arrange for games, such as Frisbee throwing contests, football and volleyball at a park or at the beach. Haul everyone back to your house for cake, ice cream and presents.
Costume Party
Costume parties generate anticipation as party day draws near. Invite boys and girls of almost any age to a costume birthday party. Ask the birthday person if he prefers a particular costume party theme. If the celebrant can’t think of an idea, suggest a hippie costume party. Send invitations to match the theme. Arrange for a costume with bell bottoms, sandals, flowing tie-dye shirt and far-out sunglasses. Play music from the 60s such as Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Iron Butterfly. Place lava lamps and black light around the party space. Hang black light posters. Hold a 60s dance competition while showing the movie, “Woodstock” on a big screen. Give guests hippie beads or 45 RPM records as party favors. Gather guests for presentation of a multi-colored birthday cake and Neapolitan ice cream.

And the Award for Best Party Game Goes to…
With the film awards season almost upon us, it’s time to come up with games for your party other than. “guess who’s going to win!” even though guessing the winners is half the fun.

- At the end of the awards, have them read their nominations and write them under their names in the grid.
- Then take a vote to see whom each player thinks should win the category.

The premise may seem simple, but you’ll be surprised at how tricky it is to name three items in just five seconds!
You can play 5 Second Rule with three or more people, and it’s a whole lot of fun with large groups. It’s recommended for ages 10 and up, but many think younger children can pick up the simple gameplay as well.
To play, you pick a card and read the topic. Then, start the timer, and you have five seconds to name three things that match the topic on the card—it could be pasta dishes, book series, football teams, or something completely unexpected. The fun twisted timer makes a silly sound as the marble races down—definitely more interesting than a standard sand timer!
People say it’s quick to learn, and it can be family-friendly or raunchy, depending on who you’re playing with. Plus, it’s great for parties because people can drop out or join in at any time without messing up gameplay.
Best for Adults: Cards Against Humanity LLC. Card Game
If you’re hosting an adults-only party, there’s no better game to pull out than Cards Against Humanity. This inappropriate card game quickly became a cult classic in households across the country thanks to its raunchy, laugh-inducing gameplay.
You can play Cards Against Humanity with four or more people, so it’s great for large groups. The recommended age range is 17 and up, and most will agree that you don’t want kids getting into (or overhearing) this risque game.
It’s incredibly easy to pick up how to play Cards Against Humanity: In each round, one player reads a question from one of the black cards, and the other players have to anonymously put down the funniest white card in their hand. The dealer picks their favorite answer, often resulting in inappropriate, awkward, and hilarious responses. The person who put down that card gets a point.
Gameplay might sound simple, but don’t underestimate how fun this game is. Fans can’t say enough about how amazing it is for adult parties.
Best for the Whole Family: Spin Master Games Head’s Up! Party Board Game
If you’re a fan of the “Ellen Degeneres Show,” you’ve definitely seen her play Head’s Up with guests. Now, you can entertain the whole family with the same hilarious activity, entertaining players both young and old with the Head’s Up Party Game.
This version can be played with two to six people, and it’s recommended for anyone ages 8 and up. What’s great is that it’s just as entertaining for kids as it is for adults!
To play, split up into teams. One person puts on the headband and slips several cards into it—there are four categories of cards, including Superstars, Sound It Out, Blockbusters, and Act It Out. Your teammates will give you clues and you have to guess what the card on your head says. You’ll earn chips for each correct answer you get.
Buyers say this is an awesome party game and is entertaining for the whole family. The only complaint they have is that there are only 200 cards. Once you’ve played a few times, you might have a good idea of which cards are likely to come up.
Best Budget: University Games Smart Ass The Ultimate Trivia Board Game
You don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to get a great party game. Smart Ass is a highly-rated, quick-moving board game that’s great for small groups. The rowdy gameplay will get pretty competitive as everyone vies to be the “ultimate Smart Ass.” Oh, and did we mention it’s incredibly affordable?
To play Smart Ass, you need two to six people, and it’s best for ages 12 and up. Because of the limited number of players, this may not be the best party game if you’re anticipating a large crowd.
The object of the game is simple: Be the first person to answer Who, What, and Where Am I questions, advancing around the board when you get them right. Smart Ass can get pretty boisterous because you don’t have to wait your turn to yell out the answer. This adds an instant layer of competitiveness as everyone tries to yell over each other.
Smart Ass is a hilarious, fast-paced, and challenging game. It’s quick to learn, and many say that it’s fun when you have more people. However, it’s not necessarily appropriate or accessible for younger children.

20 thoughts on “11 Moves to Seduce a Woman and Get Her in Bed with You!”
This is all very well for when you’re trying to seduce a new mate, but what if it’s a girl you’ve been with for a year and started living with? My partner has sex phobia because of her past experiences – we still do it occasionally, but honestly you’d think we’d been married 10 years with kids than just passed our 1st date anniversary. Usually, if I make a move on her, she instantly turns sour and gives me some excuse. How do I “seduce” her so she’s as comfortable letting me get intimate with her now as she was when we started dating?
i’ve a new date and she’s a virgin. please help me text her with seductive messages…thanks
i love to kiss her but i’m afraid..pls! me
Are you kidding me, this is horrible advice. The reason we don’t repond to your text messages or wait hours to repond is becuase we don’t want a guy that just sends text messages. That is lazy! If you want to get a girl it isnt’ that hard, but put in effort and let her see that you are trying. Which means call her and ask her out, its not that big a mystery!
games… they never work out with women. Men just be straightforward, generous, caring, protective and then just ravish us, we won’t resist to ya
As a girl, I’m currently on an escapade to find manipulative techniques that men use on women so that I can recognize them and not get hurt. However, if you’re just meeting a girl and only intend to have her as a sex mate, this is wonderful advice. I honestly would feel a little honored to know that this much work went into seducing me, and rather than feeling manipulated would ravish the fact that someone found a way for me to enjoy them while they enjoyed me. Regardless, the one point they left out and that you should remember no matter what your purpose is: DON’T BE A DICK. Because if you quit communicating right after sex, the girl will not only be offended but probably wonder if there’s something wrong with her, thus killing any chance you had of future sex with her. And let me be clear:
This method would not work *as well* for a girl with which you want a long term relationship. If that’s your goal, remember my point above and also try to be yourself. The relationship isn’t worth it if you can’t relax around her.
awesome, it really works
Some of the commenters address the topic of “manipulation” and seduction. Love life requires being active and affecting the other person. Without being active and affecting the other person nothing happens. Seducing is affecting the other person so to create positive feelings and emotions. Normally “manipulation” is meant to hurt of gain something. Seduction is meant to create good feelings, instead.
You can tell the advice is dated when one of the steps involves phone sex.
I’m a woman and I can tell you this is the worst advice I’ve ever read… Please do not do this.
What if the girl Loves her partner, will she still be seduced by this tricks?
I’m the partner actually :p
naaaah..
woman is not logical. even they read it over and over AGAIN. haha..
they just can not avoid their basic instinct.
it would works every times.
It’s greath I have slept with 6 polish 4 English 3 Asian and 4 Latvian within 3 weeks
Why does it have to be a game?
Because if one is too direct most times women don’t respond too well. No matter at times what we do there is a problem.
Just whip it out upon first meeting her and tell her to swallow!
BANG HER BRAINS OUT. LAY THAT PIPE.
The most frequent thing I do to get her in bed is just ask. I go out in broad daylight asking a girl for sex. Sure, most would reject, but just try it. I’ve gotten myself laid so many times, I don’t even know my number anymore, It’s somewhere in the mid one thousands. The perfect place to ask women is in Venice beach, where most of them are on a vacation. So, it doesn’t matter if she’s taken, just ask her and if she says yes, bang her. That simple. If she says no, go find another one to ask. It’s not a sex offender offense if you know what you’re doing.
Aren’t you… like… Muslim? Why are you trying to seduce women…?
Sir not because we are Muslims we do not know what happens in our societies.
They say that “life begins at 40”, but it’s hard to believe that you have reached this age in your (or your partner’s) life.
Time to start planning for the big day and the big party to see the next phase of your life in with a swing.
Here are a few good ideas…
Surprise party
Obviously you can’t do this one on your own, but a surprise party is a great idea. To make it really effective you have to let your partner know that a party is planned – with just a few close friends, but you keep the number of people a secret.
Hire a boat
A great party venue is to hire a boat. This could either be on a river or on the sea. (Watch out for the sea as some people may get sea sick).
1975 party
A great theme for the year you (or your partner) were born. You could wear mini skirts, flares and single breasted suits. (For more search on Google for 1975 fashion and music)
Book a magician
Just about any party tends to go better with a magician. For my wife’s 40th birthday we booked a magician. He was able to split his act into two halves – the first half for the kids, the second half for the adults.
This is your life
This is just like the TV show. You build a book with the life history included in it. This is a great one to do as a PowerPoint presentation. You then proceed to introduce people from their past. You could if you want present a bound book with the newspaper from the week they were born.
Pub crawl
For my husband’s 40th, I threw him a pub crawl in Reno, rented a party bus and invited 20 of his closest guy friends.

Fun casino party
Great fun for guests of all ages. You can hire full-size Roulette and Blackjack tables with fully trained croupiers. Everyone loves a gamble, especially when there is no real money to lose.

Wild West Party
Wild west night Wild west nights are always a laugh. We had one for my partner when he turned 40.
We hired a mechanical bull and had his favourite 40 songs playing all night at the local centre. It was great. (Sent in by Wotattitude)
Tribute band
How about hiring a local hall / pub / function room and then hiring a tribute band?
There are lots of Tribute Bands e.g. Rolling Stones, Beatles, Jacksons, Spandau Ballet, etc. You name it, there will be one for you.
Sent in by Mark Devenport who plays in the U2 Tribute Band BloodRedSky
Wig out party
A good idea for a party is for everyone to show up with a wig and then swap wigs by the end of the night.
The host should have some extra wigs on hand for those people who arrive without a wig. (Sent in by Sam Witherspoon)
Go camping
This is best done in a farmer’s field, rather than on a camp site. You can arrange to have a camp fire and you could do your cooking on barbecues.
Beach party
A nice thing to do in hot weather is to have a party on the beach. You may need to pick a location where you are not likely to get told off. In the middle of winter you could plan an indoor beach party where you wear Hawaian shirts and spread sand on the floor. Please also see our article on Beach Party Ideas.
Themed party
There are lots of other types of themed parties that you can try.
- Caribbean
- Pirates
- Vicars and tarts
- Film stars
- School dinners
For a formal party – hire a castle
Hire a castle
A castle is a great venue for a party. Many castles have a banqueting hall. Even better you could also combine it with a Medieval Banquet. This would make an unmissable event.
Hire a big villa
Hire a big villa for a week or two abroad. Share the cost with your close friends. (sent in by Salli)
1920s theme party
Dress up in spats and posh frocks. Play the Charleston. (Sent in by Melissa)
Murder mystery
Spend it at a hotel with as many friends as you can allow (or afford). Plan a ‘Murder Mystery’ game (instructions available online). Everyone should plan to stay in one area of the hotel. The possibilities are endless. (From Joanna in Arizona).
Charity party
I wanted to do something huge for my husband’s 40th but was pretty tight on cash. I wanted to book his favourite band, have showgirls, Karaoke, a petting zoo for the kids and other misc. games. The cost would have been in the thousands and I could not afford it.
So I decided that his party would also be a charity event supporting an orphanage that my husband and I often donated to. All of the entertainers agreed to play for free and the venue was also provided for free. I asked the 150 guests to make a $40 donation to the orphanage instead of buying gifts for my husband. In the end we were able to donate more than $6,000, the only cost for me was the food, cake, decorations, disposable cameras and pinata treats. In total I spent maybe $500 out of my pocket. I cannot even begin to think about what I’m going to do for his 50th. (Sent in by Sheri).
Amazing race party
All gather and complete a task at the house to receive their first clue (we had a page of riddles to solve). Teams are set by you – we did 3-4 people per team, but you keep it to couples if needed. After that it’s like a car rally, stopping here and there to pick up the items in the clues. One task involved counting the fire hydrants on one street and reporting it at a coffee shop drive-thru speaker to receive the next clue and some treats to eat on the journey. We had a friend create a task for people to do at her place. In the end, we all met at a restaurant for dinner and discussion. Many laughs! (Sent in by Peggy Churey)
Keg Party
For my husband’s 40th I threw him a suprise party. It was an old fashion Keg party and the theme was heavy metal. Perfect for the 40 crowd. We played old heavy metal music and guest wore concert T shirts to the party. I even charged $2 (went to raffle prize) to sit in our back yard. He totally loved his party! (Thanks to Lisa)
Surpise Holiday
For my 40th last year my hubby arranged a surprise party with all my family and friends, proposed to me on the night, then whisked me off to Mexico for two weeks two days later. We then arranged the wedding date for 5 weeks later. What a fantastic time and a 40th never to be forgotten …:o) x (Thanks to Julie Watson)
Vegas Party
For my husband’s 40th we had a “Vegas Party”.
It was a fantastic party! We had a live entertainer – he was a singer and performer and he got the whole crowd involved-the party was 1 huge dance floor.
We also had casino gaming tables – blackjack, poker, roulette, money wheel. Everyone dressed up so the photos look incredible. (Thanks to Trina).
Any other 40th birthday ideas?
If you have any other ideas – why not add your idea in the box below?
El Poblado
The traveller neighbourhood in Medellin, El Poblado is easily the most popular part of town for foreigners in the city due to the large number of hostels, bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. Out-of-towners particularly love the area around Parque Lleras; it can get pretty rowdy on weekends. El Poblado might not be the neighbourhood to get a sense of the real Medellin, but with some of the best food and drink in the city, not to mention the young and vibrant crowd, it’s a great spot to visit.
A post shared by Krista Oleson (@kristaole) on Aug 30, 2017 at 8:08pm PDT
Envigado
Just to the south of Poblado is Envigado, another area that is incredibly popular with visitors. Unlike it’s noisy neighbour to the north, however, Envigado is primarily a residential neighbourhood, and its pleasant tree-lined streets lack the hotels and hostels of El Poblado. Due to some quite strong building height restrictions, Envigado has also retained much of the suburban neighbourhood vibe that makes it so popular, and it boasts a large number of green spaces compared to the rest of the city. Along with Laureles, this is the area to look into if you’re planning to move to Medellin.
Laureles
A pleasant upper-middle class residential part of town, Laureles (sometimes joined with neighbourhood district Estadio to be called Laureles-Estadio) sits alongside the Atanasio Girardot Stadium where the local football teams play (an amazing place to visit if you’re into football: check out the photo below!). There are a couple of popular nightlife areas here as well – La 70 and Calle 33 – but generally, Laureles adopts a laid-back kind of vibe, with lots of little cafés and small bars.
Patio Bonito
A little sub-neighbourhood of nearby El Poblado, Patio Bonito is an oasis of calm compared to the hustle and bustle of its big brother! Another primarily residential area, it also boasts an excellent selection of hipster restaurants, bars, and cafés, as well as some fantastic co-working spaces, making it a favourite spot with Medellin’s growing digital nomad community.
El Centro
One of Medellin’s rougher neighbourhoods for sure, El Centro certainly isn’t the spot to book a hotel in Medellin, but it’s definitely a must-visit place for any tourist in the city. The Botero Park, Antioquia Museum, Casa de La Memoria, Parque de Las Luces, and much more all lie in Centro, which is easily accessible via the comfortable Medellin Metro. Wandering around Centro by night is certainly not recommended, but make sure to swing by during the day, especially as part of the Free Medellin Walking Tour, which takes visitors around El Centro while explaining the history of Medellin.
Sabaneta
A small neighbourhood to the south of Envigado, Sabaneta is another residential part of Medellin and an increasingly popular place to live for foreigners moving to the city. The focal point of the neighbourhood is the pretty central square of Parque Sabaneta, a pleasant one-block plaza with a church and lots of trees, surrounded by little bars and restaurants. Often ranked as the most livable area in Medellin, Sabaneta might not be the first place that people talk about when they mention the city, but it’s a strong up-and-comer.
Bélen
To the south of Laureles is Bélen, another middle-class neighbourhood, but one with a much grittier feel: it used to be quite an unsafe part of the city but has been on the rise in recent years, and it is growing in popularity with the ever-increasing foreign community in Medellin. There is lots of outside space to enjoy in this area too, with a large central park as well as Cerro Nutibara, a small hill crisscrossed by hiking and cycling trails, with the lovely little replica village of Pueblito Paisa perched on top.
A 13th birthday is one of those special days that should be remembered fondly. The transition from child to teen is one that should be celebrated and honored. Make the birthday of your favorite soon-to-be teen special through creative party theme ideas, special cakes and grown-up activities.
Grown-ups for a Day
George Doyle/Stockbyte/Getty Images
Show the new teenager how life will be as a grown-up with a fun evening out. Ask guests to dress in their most fancy and sophisticated attire. Have guests meet at a central location and have a limousine rented to pick up the party. Serve sparkling apple cider in the vehicle’s champagne glasses. Whisk guests away to a fancy restaurant for a sophisticated meal. As an activity prime guests with some etiquette tips by a “manner’s expert” or simply by giving each guest a card with some fancy restaurant dining tips. Finish the night with a classic music concert or another cultural event. Check your local college or university for a schedule of events.
Slumber Party
Creatas Images/Creatas/Getty Images
A teenager’s life is peppered with slumber parties. Help your teenage daughter break into her teens with her very first sleepover. Host the event at a hotel or at home. Be sure to have plenty of snacks and a stack of fun movies on hand. Add music and some party games for a fun 13th birthday celebration. Be sure to involve parents so there is ample adult supervision.
13th Birthday Cake
Let your theme dictate your cake decoration. If you don’t have a specific theme in mind for the party, use a sheet cake. Find small items that represent various aspects of the birthday boy’s life. Perhaps he loves to play video games, is on a soccer team and eats popcorn every night. Find miniatures that represent each aspect of his life. These items can be found at a craft store. Use these small items to decorate the top of a plain sheet cake.
Birthday Celebrating 13s
Roland Magnusson/iStock/Getty Images
Host a party of 13s. Hold the party on the 13th of the month. Invite 13 guests and make sure the birthday girl receives 13 gifts. Serve a 13-course meal. The meal may consist of a beverage course and serve cake and ice cream in separate courses (one following the other) so you can more easily reach 13 courses. Hang large “13” signs around the room for decorations.

Welcome to the world of ‘elite’ orgies.
We may be seen as stuffy, stiff upper lip Brits, but the truth is we’re just as (if not more) sexually adventurous as anyone else ta very much. In fact, we have an ever-growing network of sex parties, orgies and swingers’ clubs right on our doorstep. Here’s our guide to the glorious sex parties humble Britain has to offer.
Killing Kittens
Launched in 2005 by Emma Sayle, a former schoolfriend of Kate Middleton’s (we’re sure she’s never been…), these members-only upmarket sex parties cater to ‘high fliers and hedonists’ and claim to be the ‘network for the sexual elite’. The parties are female-orientated and women are in charge. Men have to be invited to join in, and all potential members are semi-screened before being allowed to join (you have to send in a photo and a blurb about yourself).
Fever Parties
Described as “an intimate sensual ambiance that always works its magic.” Fever Parties are for single self-identifying women and ‘attractive couples’. As well as club nights, they also run private parties filled with champagne and furnished play rooms. Held every few months, you have to be deemed a babe to get in (you send a selfie first), and under 40. Men are only allowed as part of a couple, but women can go on their own.
Club Hermione
Club Hermione offers ‘private, exclusive and classy’ monthly sex parties in London. All parties are by invitation only, and you must apply for membership to be invited. These glam AF events are held in luxury venues. Men are required to wear suits (hmm), while women are encouraged to turn up in dresses and lingerie. Note: (unfortunately) this is nothing to do with Harry Potter.
Skirt Club
Not everyone wants men at their sex party, which is why Skirt Club focuses solely on people with vulvas who wanna play with people with vulvas. They create an environment where you can feel safe to explore your sexual desires and attraction, and the club is also intended for bisexual+ and bi-curious folk. Although there’s no dress code (unless the event you’re going to is themed), Skirt Club describe their members as ‘effortlessly stylish’.
Passion Elite
So, Passion Elite holds awesome sex/pool parties in Yorkshire, to a backdrop of fire-eaters and Burlesque dancers. Sounds awesome, right? On average, between 50 and 100 guests attend each event – and swimwear is optional.
Torture Garden
As the world’s largest fetish club, London’s Torture Garden is super well-known, and is held at various venues throughout the city. Some months TG can see 2500 guests. it is huge. It was started in 1990 as a response to the lack of ‘radical’ and ‘edgy’ clubs, and is open to guests of all gender identities and sexual orientations. They’ve had ridiculously famous faces attend, including Marilyn Manson, Jean Paul Gautier and Dita Von Teese.
Shushi Parties
All over the country, Shushi parties are geared towards sexually confident couples and open-minded single women (between 18 and 40, but the average age of guests is 26). They’re held everywhere in the UK, including Leeds and York, and take place in cosy apartments. Booze is promised on arrival, as is soft-lighting (v important).
Hedonism
Thought of as the original swingers’ party, Hedonism has been going since 1994 and runs every weekend in venues across the UK. Event dates and details are announced three months in advance, and are either house party vibes or club nights. Most of their members are 25-55 and range from brand new to the scene to super experienced.
