George Clooney’s Heartfelt Tribute to Amal at ‘The Boys in the Boat’ Premiere

George Clooney is accustomed to taking a backseat to his stunning spouse, Amal Clooney. The 62-year-old Oscar winner discussed his glamorous wife on Monday night at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Los Angeles, where his new movie, The Boys in the Boat, had its premiere.

Donning a yellow gown by Atelier Versace, Cartier jewelry, and a beaming smile, Amal strolled down the red carpet alongside George. 

After almost ten years together, George and Amal Clooney seem like one of the most stable couples in Hollywood—and also one of the most glamorous.

George did not seem all that interested in settling down before they got married, and Amal was becoming popular for her activism and human rights law. Now that they have lived such different lives, it is difficult to picture them being apart.

Ella and Alexander, the twins that George and Amal Clooney are parents to, were born in 2014.

Over the years, the star of “Ocean’s 11,” who was once thought to be Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor, has talked about how Amal Clooney won his heart and became the love of his life.

George Clooney Described His ‘Embarrassed’ Red Carpet Appearances Next to Amal

George Clooney is not afraid to acknowledge that he felt compelled to drastically and fundamentally alter his life after meeting and marrying his wife, Amal Clooney.

He could probably use some style cues from his elegant wife, Amal Clooney. 

Having made their red carpet debut as a married pair at the 2015 Golden Globes, the 62-year-old actor and 45-year-old human rights lawyer have emerged as one of Hollywood’s most stylish pairs. 

In an interview, George, who directed and produced the movie, admitted that he isn’t as confident in his looks as opposed to his wife’s high-fashion outfits.

George said I had to introduce myself as ‘Amal Clooney’s husband’ because she received many honors in her name for her work, including the DVF Leadership Award back in August. 

Regarding his state of mind at the time, he stated, “I am going to work; I have got great friends; my life is full; I am doing well.” Furthermore, I was unaware of how un-full it was until I met Amal. And then everything changed. And I was like, ‘Oh, actually, this has been a huge space.’

Clooney said that marriage changed him “because I’d never been in the position where someone else’s life was infinitely more important to me than my own. 

The two’s combined star power—and love—at the buzzy event on Monday night made for one super chic appearance. 

Amal looked stunning in a vivid yellow Versace gown, accessorizing with Cartier jewels and a gold clutch. Meanwhile, George looked sharp in a traditional black suit with a navy blue shirt that was unbuttoned at the top for a relaxed vibe. 

At an early screening in Seattle earlier this month, the parents of six-year-old twins Ella and Alexander wore coordinated couple’s looks to kick off the Boys on the Boat press circuit.

It appears that George is content with his life as a father. He once revealed in 2021 that he “couldn’t be happier, and I couldn’t be more surprised at how happy I am.” It seems he still feels the same.

The film “The Boys in the Boat,” which opens on December 25, is based on a true story of the University of Washington rowing team’s quest for gold in the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

At the premiere, Clooney remarked, “I always feel embarrassed because I am wearing something that I have probably worn a thousand times.
