Douglas Daniel Clark, a serial murderer who was given the death penalty for six horrifying murders committed in California in the early 1980s, passed away on Thursday, according to authorities. At 75 years old, he was. According to a statement from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Clark, who had been staying at the San Quentin Rehabilitation Centre, passed away on Wednesday at a different medical facility.

Douglas Clark, “Sunset Strip Killer,” passes away in custody

After a string of killings in Los Angeles starting in the 1980s, he and his accomplice Carol Bundy were known as the Sunset Strip Killers. Teenagers and sex workers were among the victims. Multiple charges against Clark, including murder, attempted murder, and having sex with a corpse, were all judged to be true.

The official cause of death for Clark will be determined by the Marin County Coroner’s Office. In 2003, Bundy passed away in the Central California Women’s Centre.  May the soul rest in peace.
