Did Kari Lake Win The Primary?
Kari Lake is one of the candidate for the governor of Arizona election on 1 June 2021 and recieved a nomination in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election.
At the time of the 2022 elections, there were 28 Republican governors and 22 Democratic governors.
Kari is a representative of the Republican nominee who ran for election for Governor of Arizona with a Democrative Katie Hobbs.
In the 2022 Primary elections, Kari was competing with Democrat Katie Hobbs. The primary elections were held on August 2.
Katie Hobbs who is Arizona’s secretary of state won the Arizona gubernatorial race over Republican Kari Lake.
She defeated Kari Lake, a former television news anchor With 97% of the projected vote.
Hobbs had 50.4% of the vote, compared to 49.6% for Lake.
Hobbs in a statement Monday said,
“I want to thank the voters for entrusting me with this immense responsibility. It is truly an honor of a lifetime, and I will do everything in my power to make you proud,”
she said-
“For the Arizonans who did not vote for me, I will work just as hard for you -because even in this moment of division, I believe there is so much more that connects us.”
