Devon and Kyle Kaepernick, who are the siblings of Colin Kaepernick

A limited series on Netflix titled Colin Kaepernick in Black & White dramatises his teenage years as he rises through the ranks as a great baseball and football player. The series follows Kaepernick’s life during this time.

The show, which was created by Colin Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay, focuses on the journey that Colin Kaepernick took to become the activist he is today as well as the experiences that formed him into that activist.

Throughout his professional life, he had tremendous support and encouragement from his adoptive parents and siblings. In 1987, when Colin was just five weeks old, Rick and Teresa Kaepernick became his adoptive parents.

At the time, the family—comprised of the couple, together with their children Kyle and Devon—was calling the city of Fond du Lac in Wisconsin home. Because of congenital cardiac defects, Rick and Teresa had previously experienced the loss of two children shortly after delivery.

Kyle, the couple’s firstborn, had already been born when Lance and Kent passed away. When Devon was only six years old, the couple decided to adopt a second child and gave birth to their son, Colin. So if you were wondering where Colin’s sister and brother might be right now, here is what we know about that situation!

Devon Kaepernick is the name of Colin Kaepernick’s sister. Who is she?

Colin Kaepernick’s older sister is Devon Kaepernick. She, like her other brother Kyle, is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where she received her degree in engineering.

In an interview with the Turlock Journal in 2011, Rick Kaepernick, the father of Colin, Devon, and Kyle Kaepernick, confessed that he did not cry when Colin graduated from college. Devon and Kyle Kaepernick are also professional football players. On the other hand, he broke down into tears when the San Francisco 49ers chose Colin.

Her dad has stated that at the time, when his daughter Devon was receiving her degree from Cal Poly, he shed some happy tears since he was so proud of her accomplishment.

According to her Instagram account, Devon is still married and has two children. She lives in the city of Turlock in the state of California. She also published a photo of his son in July 2015, in which he was seen holding a football and having temporary tattoos that were identical to the ones that Colin had on his shoulder: “Against all odds,” “Faith,” and “7.”

In a similar vein, she is very fond of posting images of her brother on her Instagram account.

On her Instagram account, Colin Kaepernick’s sister Devon Kaepernick made a comment about how her brother is the best. This photograph was taken at Colin’s wedding.

At one point, she uploaded a picture of Colin from her wedding in November 2013, along with the caption “Best brother in the world!” In the same way, he commemorated his sister’s birthday by sharing the same image on social media in December of 2012 (her birthday was in December). ” I hope you have a wonderful birthday, my dear sister, Miss Divine 13 Devon! The man’s letter stated, “If you tell me you have a sister who is kinder than I am, I will call you a liar.”

On any of her various social media platforms, Devon hasn’t really spoken much about Colin. She did, however, post a poster for her brother’s Know Your Rights Camp, which is scheduled to take place in June of 2020. The purpose of the poster was to help promote the organisation, which seeks to advance the liberation of people of colour through education, self-empowerment, mass mobilisation, and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders.

Her Instagram handle is @misdivine13, and she has given many of her friends and family members access to the photographs she has posted.

Who exactly is Kyle Kaepernick, Colin Kaepernick’s younger brother?

The name Kyle Kaepernick refers to Colin Kaepernick’s older brother. He obtained his degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, the same institution that Devon did.

Because Kyle does not utilise social media like his sister does, there is not a lot of information available about him. According to The Sun, he has maintained his residence in the same state as Devon, which is California.

The entire Kaepernick family gathered together in one picture, having fun with one other

During the 2018 season of the VH1 show Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms, he discussed his experiences of being adopted into a white family and developing his identity alongside white siblings.

He cherished his family very much, but he was acutely aware that he did not resemble any of them physically. Additionally, he had a precocious awareness of the fact that he was unique, despite the fact that he was unaware of the significance of this fact.

As a direct consequence of this, it evolved as he got older. He stated that my parents and my family were responsible for the formation of my identity, as well as my place in society and my knowledge of those concepts. However, they have overcome everything, and he sustained their relationship throughout the ordeal; despite everything, they have always been very affectionate to one another. No one else, and even if they asked me, I wouldn’t go through with it.

His grandfather once said that he was overcome with emotion when he received his degree from Cal Poly.

The Difference in Ages Between Kyle and Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick was placed for adoption with Rick and Teresa Kaepernick, a white couple, when he was just five weeks old. His birth mother, Russo, gave him up for adoption. Both of the couple’s biological children, Kyle and Devon, were brought into the world.

The Kaepernicks made the decision to adopt a child after the loss of their two biological sons to heart conditions. There is not much information on Kyle that can be found online because he is highly selective about the people with whom he shares his personal information.

Therefore, there is probably somewhere between three and four years separating the ages of the brothers, although they need to verify this at least once.

The decision made by Colin Kaepernick and his family to kneel in protest of racial injustice and police brutality while the national anthem was playing was supported by them throughout the entire process.

Regarding the whereabouts of Devon and Kyle at the present time, it would appear that Devon is still caring for her two children in the city of Turlock, California. It appears that Kyle is also residing in the state of California, but other than that, very little is known about the daily activities of the siblings. They attempted to stay out of the limelight as much as possible.
