Davenport City Council did not fill 7th Ward seat

The Davenport City Council did not fill the vacant 7th Ward seat.

A resolution to suspend the rules to clear the way for Chris Jerome’s appointment to the position failed. To pass, eight of the nine current members needed to vote in favor of suspending the rules. Two voted against it.

The 7th Ward seat is open after city council voted to remove Derek Cornette earlier this month.
