Daughter of welcoming Hardee's worker seeks help for her mom

Known for starting a lot of people’s day, the family of a popular Bettendorf Hardee’s worker is asking for the community’s help.

Molly Kosgard’s daughter told Local 4 News her mother has faced a difficult start to the year.

She said Kosgard had missed work because of illnesses and that’s left her short on funds.

While it was nothing too serious, working in the restaurant industry meant she had to stay away from work.

Kosgard was featured as a Local 4’s Finest in 2018.

Now, her house is without heat.

Her daughter is asking for the public to help share some love with her mother after all the love she provides during people’s morning.

“Her furnace went out last Friday. She has no funds to fix her furnace and with her being behind already from missing work, I didn’t know what else to do, so I was like Hail Mary,” said Molly’s daughter Kendra Tapia.

Tapia has set up a Go Fund Me page people can donate to.
