Cynthia Allen Obituary, Beloved Member Of Northside Baptist Church In Jasper, AL Has Passed Away
The daughter of Mary Alma Durham and Richard Henry Durham, Cynthia Faye (Durham) Allen was born on March 7, 1949, according to her obituary and death notice. On January 2, 2024, she passed away quietly, and her memory will live on forever. Cynthia’s life was characterized by her family, faith, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. Her five siblings were Richie, Mary, Buster, and Riley. She was raised in a loving home.
When Cynthia first saw Dwight Wayne Allen in 1964, the man who would become her lifetime partner, their journey together demonstrated the strength of enduring love. Because of her unshakable faith in Jesus, Cynthia persevered through all of her hardships and continued to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, her family finds comfort in the knowledge that her faith will ultimately bring them back together.
Spending time with her eight cherished grandchildren—Presley, Joshua, Zoe, Jacob, Jon Thomas, Abe, Aaron, and Asher—brought Cynthia great joy throughout her life. Cynthia has a deep love for her grandchildren. This coming Saturday, January 6, at eleven in the morning, Northside Baptist Church in Jasper, Alabama will host a memorial service commemorating the life of Cynthia. Starting at ten in the morning, Dwight and his family will be ready to greet visitors.
Cynthia’s funeral will take place at Macedonia Baptist Church in Crossville, Alabama, following her passing. The family would much prefer donations made to the Northside Baptist Church Vacation Bible School fund rather than flowers. Cynthia has deep feelings for this cause. We will never forget Cynthia Durham Allen’s unshakable commitment, her inexhaustible love, and the deep influence she made on those who were lucky enough to call her friends. Her influence will never fade. I pray that she may be reunited with her family in heaven and find serenity with the Lord.
