Comedian Teddy Ray died in apparent drowning, body found in pool by maintenance worker
RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Teddy Ray died on August 12 from drowning, according to reports. A maintenance worker saw the 32-year-old floating in a private pool and called the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
According to TMZ, the authorities don’t think that Ray’s death, whose real name was Theodore Brown, was caused by foul play. But no one knows yet whose private pool the comedian drowned in. Ray lived in Gardena, which is about 125 miles west of where he was found. Sources told TMZ on August 15 that investigators will keep looking into the results of Ray’s autopsy before announcing the official cause of death, which is likely to be drowning.
