Christian and Michelle Deaton Bicycle Accident: Oregon Couples Die in Fatal Portland, Oregon Bicycle Accident

Christian and Michelle Deaton Accident: In a tragic incident, Christian Deaton, 52, and his wife, Michelle Deaton, 48, both residents of Portland, Oregon, lost their lives on Tuesday.

The accident occurred as they were cycling north along Silverado Trail, near Oak Knoll Avenue. The couple was struck by a shifting load of lumber from a Freightliner truck, causing a devastating accident.

Christian Deaton tragically succumbed to his injuries at the crash site. Meanwhile, Michelle Deaton sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center by ambulance. Despite medical efforts, she, too, tragically passed away.

The Napa County Coroner’s Office officially identified the victims on Wednesday, unveiling the heart-wrenching reality of this unfortunate accident.

The driver of the truck, which belonged to Central Valley Builders Supply, immediately pulled over following the accident and fully cooperated with the California Highway Patrol’s investigation.

The incident resulted in the temporary closure of a portion of Silverado Trail, spanning from Oak Knoll Avenue to Yountville Cross Road, for approximately two and a half hours.

This allowed the CHP and the Sheriff’s Office to thoroughly investigate and clear the scene of this tragic mishap.
