Chimere Wall Obituary – Death: ‘Project Runway’ winner Bishme Cromartie’s Sister Passes Away
Chimere Wall Obituary: Chimere Wall, the older sister of “Project Runway” winner Bishme Cromartie, unfortunately passed unexpectedly. Baltimore, Maryland, citizen Chimere Wall, also known as Chimere Didley, passed away in 2022 as a result of a cancerous tumour. She served as the inspiration for Bishme’s plans.
African-American fashion designer Bishme Cromartie was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Early on, he became passionate about fashion, and his aunt taught him the fundamentals of sewing. Despite being self-taught, he became well-known throughout the world for his chic and contemporary clothing line that honoured the feminine body.
Bishme @bishme_cromartie rose to fame as a Project Runway contestant during Season 17. He moved to Los Angeles to build his reputation and brand after the show.
Lizzo, Niecy Nash, Karrueche Tran, and Andra Day are just a few of the famous people he has dressed. He has also been highlighted in prestigious magazines and television networks, including Elle, Forbes, Vogue, and Bravo. He returned to participate in Project Runway Season 20 All-Stars, continuing his quest.
His sister, Chimere Faya Didley, who sadly passed away from cancer, is a member of Bishme’s family. He attributes his upbringing in East Baltimore, where he grew up, to encouraging his creativity from a young age. Custom clothing design, which he does out of his studio on Saratoga Road, is where Bishme’s special expertise shines. His society benefits from his upbeat and contagious demeanour, and celebrity stylist Wouri Bad Habit holds him in high regard.
During a summer in upstate New York, Bishme learned the fundamentals of sewing from his aunt, which sparked his interest in fashion. At the age of 11, he created his first significant piece, a T-shirt. In the tenth grade, he continued to design, even coming up with a prom dress. He attempted to enrol in the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City after graduating from high school but was denied.
One of his most treasured memories is making his sister’s wedding gown, a task she admired and enthusiastically supported. When Bishme was chosen for Season 17, his dream of participating on Project Runway—a programme he and his sister watched while growing up—came true, causing both siblings to cry with happiness.
Tragically, only eight months after getting married, his sister Chimere received a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis. Despite extensive chemotherapy, she eventually passed away in July 2022.
Despite suffering personal difficulties, Bishme persisted in pursuing his career in fashion and returned to Project Runway for Season 20 All Stars, captivating judges and fans with his cutting-edge and distinctive designs that honour the female form.
